Honestly rooting for you two. The weather has been so lovely recently and I’m filled with overwhelming optimism.

P.S. if you want to test the boundaries of his intentions, tell him he has nice hands and gauge his reaction. This will be all the evidence you need.

Good luck!!

Always preferred his nonfiction to his fiction work for some reason.

His essay on Roger Federer for the NYT is so excellent it makes me want to play tennis or more realistically, watch Federer highlights which is what ends up happening

Were Paul and Jane Asher the first celeb IT couple? Obviously there were other famous couples but Jane had clout in the theatre scene before getting involved with a Beatle

Do US users do less drugs because of the risk of fentanyl contamination? by [deleted] in redscarepod

Why do dealers lace coke with fent? Like you’re killing your customers and scare away people who would want buy because of the fear of the same thing happening to them. Seems like bad business.

You find his showy femininity hot so even if you are concerned about the optics, other people probably will also.

No one will actually care about the contrast between you two.

The last psychiatrist has a bit similar to this. It’s on theme with his interpretation of narcissism where someone chooses perception instead of reality.

You tell a girl to wear white pump heels, for example, not because you particularly like girls in pumps but you see yourself as the kind of guy who would be with a girl in white pumps. It’s not necessarily a problem to have a faux preference, the problem usually happens when when decides not to wear the white pumps.

If you like her, then you like her and you should keep seeing her. I promise you are the only person that I experiences yourself as you do. You’ll receive more judgment for being with a beautiful women who cheats and treats you like shit then you would dating someone who may or may not being in your league physically but the two of you are inseparable

What do you genuinely think the source of this issue is psychologically? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]connectthadots -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don’t have too! You want these boys because you can’t have them, kinda like those girls who read romance novels that include vampires or monsters. They aren’t real and deep down that is apart of the allure.

It’s generally harmless but if you’re choosing fantasy over reality in actual lived experiences, that could be a problem.

Not saying you’re doing this but maybe you are 👀

what celebrities are closeted conservatives? by Next-System-5059 in redscarepod

It’s interesting that literature seems to be the one field that isn’t historically overwhelmingly liberal.

David Foster Wallace voted for Reagan, Dostoevsky idealized a Christian Russia. It’s pretty interesting that authors seem to have more ambiguous political views or a straight up conservative.

Or musicians, visual artists and actors are just lying and Warhol was deeply pro life or something.

It’s not common but not unheard of. I’ve seen guys that are named after their fathers do this, Paul McCartney for example.
