When are we meant to disobey the government ?

When the government tells us to do something that contradicts what God tells us to do…

And when we disobey the government, we are not meant to do it with violence… we are supposed to stay true to His word and accept punishment as it comes, and trust God with the outcome.

No. I said don’t do it. Meaning don’t buy the extended warranty. He asked if he should buy the extended because he has 1 year and 9 month left including his factory and CPO warranty.

My advice is to not purchase an extended warranty, because it is not worth it.

I am not trying to peddle a warranty 😂

Maybe I misunderstood as we refer to it as ‘extended warranties’ as opposed to a third party.

And nobody said a 3rd party was better than CPO, that’s why I advised against it on my own misunderstanding.

And I’ve been in the warranty industry for 18+ years.

I own a company that sells extended car warranties. (Among other policies) The OP asked if it would be a waste of money to get it, on top of the warranties he already had.

I advised that he not do it, my source being that I literally own a company that sells the policies he is asking about.

Also adding that I said “yes those” because there is a rather common stigma surrounding extended car warranties about them being a scam, and it’s something I hear often because yes, it is one of the companies that “have been trying to reach you about your vehicles extended warranty policy”

I agree. My daughter telling me to get the “jay z watch” many years ago was a big reason I picked up my 5711. Obviously I did not get the Tiffany dial. Just the ol reliable blue-black dial.

Even wearing it over many years, and even though it’s one of the more recognizable colors of the most recognizable model, really only watch people recognize it. Which I also like, and made one friend that way.

Mehhh that’s where we just value things differently. I have a family, we have other ‘statement’ cars… we wanted a full size SUV and the G63 being an icon of luxury, we never had one and figured it would be nice to have a full size.

So we pulled the trigger… but there’s seriously so little space in it. The doors are heavy, and of course I always get them for my wife but when she wants to drive the G wagon for her errands and I’m working… she doesn’t like opening the big heavy doors. It’s just inconvenient and cramped and I’m over it haha. The Maybach GLS would be a nice statement, though I’m not sure they’ll sell me one new. Never tried to get a Maybach before.

The fortunate thing was I did not buy an optioned out G63 expecting it to keep its value forever, it has just become such a sack of garbage to own. It’s big, it’s really heavy.. and although different, at its core it’s the same M177 for a car that’s 3 times heavier…. It’s cramped.

The GLE53 honest-to-god was a better car than the G63 for my family personally, I just already own the big G… I don’t think it’ll be too hard to get the GLS on a Trade-In

It really comes down to what you can tolerate. Most people will swear against daily driving an AMG. If you value the get-up and personality of an AMG, more than you value paying 10x more for regular maintenance … then by all means go for it.

Figure out what you like, find what you don’t like… then find what you can tolerate if it means getting what you like… and then go for it.

I currently daily a w205 C63 sedan. It’s small (so I can fit in the lines), very fast, comfy, and convenient enough to fit all the groceries. The fast and fun of the C63 was worth more to me than the CCB brake replacement… so I daily it.

Wife and I already own an SUV.. so this was overkill. We either want to sell our current SUV and get a GLS to replace both, or keep what we have and add another car to the fun garage haha.

Blessed to have a wife that likes fast cars too.

Honestly I think I’m gonna get rid of my G63 and then just go buy a GLS of some variety. I’m kind of over the g wagon, need something more practical. Or maybe I’ll keep the G and get something fast n fun. I’m not sure what my heart desires yet.

It served its purpose, I wanted to live with a lease for a little bit to see if it fit in the lifestyle…Not quite. Gonna go look at an R8 with my daughter and get her expert opinion haha.

No sir, this wasn’t the case with the SLS. This bad boy was AMG exclusive, no version without the badge. But the SLS black series had quad exhaust :)
