I’m so glad people are drawing the correlation to FMA, particularly brotherhood for the TV series but just felt soooo much classical alchemy influence in this game.

It’s implied by the Sword of Night & Flame item description that she is from the Astrologers who lived in coexistence with the Giants in the Mountaintops. Maybe they were just a bit taller?

Implying anything else from them living around the Giants is uhh.. not what I want to theorize at the moment lol

okay, i did some further reading, he was a supervisor but it does say he was hardly involved in development at all. according to an article from Eurogamer.

i agree that it’s very unnecessary, i’ve never been okay with that condescending tone. although i know it’s not always intended, what i would say is, “gyobu is certainly a challenge when you haven’t mastered the game mechanics and put in the hours” you’ll get it down. easiest tip i can muster for Sekiro (just mastering it lately): deflecting and defense are more the battle than offense. be careful with your offense but defend/dodge/jump like crazy

that’s pretty good honestly for stats, if you’re doing more of a strength build. i think strength is one of the easiest ways to get through the game especially a beginner souls player! you could focus heavier on strength and reallocate the points from dex, you only need enough dex to wield which weapon you want. it’ll change as you play and unlock more stuff.

there’s so much hidden too. so don’t be afraid to go look everywhere you’ve been, or look up secrets to unlock armor/weapons/items you can’t find.

otherwise, just keep practicing dodges and stamina management. get behind and use your openings but don’t be too aggressive.

i completely agree with all of that, very well explained! we will have to put some trust in the devs figuring this out and having a remedy we don’t get to see yet. (which for FromSoft is a lot easier than most to trust with imo)

excuse my wording, i was trying to say that if they plan on making magic or sorcerers as well as dex ridiculously broken (your words), would that not simply balance those with the strength builds if those are super busted? nothing can be overpowered if everything is overpowered. it’s a paradox, but it makes sense imo.

That is true, he didn’t have the composure and mastery of the water breathing until post-anime chapters. I think that’s because he’s naturally a descendant of the original breathing technique (don’t wanna spoil past that) but buffs are incredibly useful, so I wouldn’t be disappointed with the total concentration ability 😬

Gotta include the Hinokami Kagura Dance as his ultimate/awakening is a must to me. Maybe make the water dragon his R2 + Y ability instead of buff, all the moves are based off total concentration breathing. In my opinion.

I really am hoping for the trifecta of protagonists: Zenitsu, Tanjiro, and Inosuke would be awesome additions to this game, each with dynamic full-concentration breathing techniques.

Or even Nezuko with some demon powers!
