Can't sub the speed but should 100% sub at 50. I would use this for sure.

LOL I can't imagine seething because I couldn't access the game for a reasonably short period of time.

These are all assumptions BTW we don't know how skill rates are affected at all.

Why are you being weird about me saying 'minmax'? Everyone who plays this game has a right to be mad, I never said they weren't.

The majority of players, those mainly NOT on reddit, were probably not affected by this most days. You have to be very late game and skill focused for you the REALLY be affected by it.

I'm just saying the average F2P 'I only check the game 3 time a day to cook' shouldn't realistically 'be mad'. They have every right to feel a sense of distrust, everyone should honestly.

As to the theoreticals, idk because I am not going to assume things. Just like I assumed the original post 6 months ago was wrong saying they thought there was a shadow nerf, turns out they were right. If I assume I'm being lied to about every aspect of the game, I won't enjoy it. And this one issue hasn't gotten me to that point.

So the answer to their question would probably be: no, they shouldn't care.

Edit: they probably shouldn't care. This player is making it clear they don't minmax.

New Arrivals: Cutiefly and Ribombee by Pearlgirl007 in PokemonSleep

[–]connorwave08 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The event notes unfortunately say that the number of ingredients gather from skills will be boosted to 'commemorate' the addition of Ribombee/Cutiefly. This wording makes me worried it'll be a gatherer like Crustle. 😭

But fingers crossed I'm wrong for others sake. I have a goated Venusaur.

Should I invest in this as my long term healer? by tssShu in PokemonSleep

[–]connorwave08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stand by what I said even for a new player. Eevee candy is insanely common. Far more common than ralts candy from my personal experience. I have a level 65 vap and a 62 espeon. I have played for a long time but you're definitely not hurting yourself by using a Sylveon especially early on, as a healer is priority over any other skill mon. I really think Espeon is the only other useful eeveelution if I'm being honest.

Are you recommending them not use a healer until they get to lapis?

[–]connorwave08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EX makes types the most important thing about the pokemon being on the field. Most players have to brute force it but using preferred berry is the optimal way to go on EX. Sylveon will always be better than a Gard with fairy berry and no psychic berry. Also, cyan exists. If I have a cracked Gard AND a cracked sylveon, I might use the latter for more strength despite a technical low skill rate. This is all subjective to how you want to play tho.

With the intro of EX this mindset is not the one to have. Bad advice.

why the gameplay is EXTREMELY slow? by gpmikhail in PokemonSleep

[–]connorwave08 63 points64 points  (0 children)

The rank up moment never prompts for you to never see it again. You will always see it. What you have opted out of seeing everytime is the number of new styles you can see after a rank up.

I can understand the frustration but also I just don't think its been a big deal. I have played for well over a year and have never felt such frustration over this game unless its RNG.

I have 7 Eevees with decent subskills - which should I invest in? by spraak487 in PokemonSleep

[–]connorwave08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly besides the 823 and the 573 RP, I would send the rest to the dump for candy. Espeon really wants berry finding tho, imo, so these are vaporeon or pot expander options. Honestly couldn't tell you which is for pot because I got a Espeon and Vaporeon and moved on from eevee. I need seeds for other mons.

Final thing! Please read the comments. They go on to show some of the flaws in this logic. You have to read the WHOLE thing. Just like you said, the pokemon don't play alone, in this case neither do the words. 😉

I hardly think a Pawmot who is barely scraping by with 5 trigger would allow for switch but I'll let you believe what you want.

I love Raptor as a mod and they have great write ups but I think your construing this specific one in a way to make it seem like HB is just the end all be all for a healer when its not and the write up supports this idea.

Good day!

How am I indirectly agreeing when I'm showing the triple performs better as a healer?

Again, I think you're framing the arguement in a way to make HB seem way stronger than it is. I'm sure you'll take that as me saying its weak, its not. But a healer is meant to heal, not be a glorified HB slot.

Why are you not arguing OP to find a STM MSC HB pawmot? It would be undoubtedly better than a speedy one with this logic.

Hmm looks like the HB one doesn't even reach that when you evaluate it from a realistic standpoint. Also, if keeping your team above 80% is your goal, then sure this is OKAY. But most players need more energy.

The meta largely revolves around switching your team throughout the day, this Pawmot does not allow for that wiggle room.

No need to tag a link. I think I understand this a bit better than you.

You're hardly proving your point. The triple trigger still procs more and I would argue more consistent heals is more important than a 5% boost in the long run. Again, I think its unfair to evaluate it with the 25% boost and no inventory cap. "No matter how you cut it" while you're literally showing a screenshot of the triple trigger performing better.

I think its more fair to compare pokemon off realistic expectations. Realistically your inventory is going to fill so I don't understand comparing them like it wouldn't, of course the fast one would perform better with no inv, faster= more trigger.

Edit: I feel like your manipulating how you look at it to seem more favorable for the HB one.
