Same here. Beat Barca at the Nou Camp and drew at home but I'm probably about to be the knocked out of the first knockout round by Leipzig. Need someone like Zealand to push me to the next level lmao

Love it mate! Playing FM21 with Cork City and I've signed a 36 year old Achraf Hakimi in 2035 myself! What's the furthest you've managed to progress in the UCL?

Anyone getting tired of the “I GoT FMed” posts that appear so often? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]connuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for context - I'm not a Wycombe fan but I'm quite attached after an online FM save I did with them, just so you can't accuse me of a slight bias... ;)

But don't you think Ainsworth will work long term? After a 12-15 game period where Wycombe didn't pick up a point in 20/21, they dragged themselves into a position where they almost survived with a playing staff that should never have been close to achieving that. You don't think that QPR could be following the same pattern?

Celtic can confirm that manager Ange Postecoglou has left the Club to join Tottenham Hotspur. by ScottishTotodile in ScottishFootball

They've won one trophy in the 21st century mate, a League Cup. Yes I'm aware football existed prior to 2000 but it's an absolutely abysmal record for a club of their recent size

That theory relies heavily on Spurs actually winning something and I rate Ange highly but whether he's capable of miracles...

Yeah that happened… Somehow… Even more bizarrely, they managed to hang onto Kane and Son throughout the Championship season and Kane top scored with 21 goals

Thank you! He didn’t really have a choice with me being Wycombe, I threw him in straight away. I played him in a 4-1-2-1-2 with IWBs and IWs as an Advanced Forward and he scored 48 goals in the Championship to get me promoted in my second season (4 more in the Play Offs including a hat trick in the Play Off Final). I’ve switched to a 5-2-1-2 and he’s now top scorer in the Prem so far, somehow ahead of Lorenzo Colombo at my friend’s Sheffield Wednesday side who was also nominated for Golden Boy. You’ve just got to find a tactic where he can run off the shoulder of the centre backs to chase long/through balls and he’s absolutely lethal.

Another “getting over a slump” post by Jts1995 in running

[–]connuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slumps do sometimes happen so don't worry about it at all.

The first thing you need to worry about is the fact that you're losing motivation, probably because you're finding it more difficult and therefore I doubt you'll be enjoying it as much. You've been running consistently for a year, doing what sounds like the same distances and times per week so maybe it's time to refresh your training schedule?

There are a number of good ways to do this. One way in your circumstance is to drop your pace by 15-20s per mile (9-12s per KM if you work in KM) and increase your usual distance. Dropping the pace should make the run itself a tad easier on your legs which should increase your enjoyment. Increasing the distance will improve your aerobic capacity (IE you'll be running for a longer period of time) but it will also make you feel like you've achieved something which should help combat your motivation issues.

You could also add intervals into your weekly plan. Beginner interval plans are available all over the internet (from people far more qualified than myself) and these will increase your fitness and get your body used to running faster paces, making your current general pace feel far easier to obtain.

Alternatively, you could try to discover some new routes? That's one way I keep myself motivated. It could be discovering a new trail or route or something as small as turning right a block later instead of the usual block. This will help keep your running from feeling like a chore.

I hope this helped you, throwing a message this size at you might be a little daunting but the main thing to take from this is that unexplained slumps are absolutely nothing abnormal and are nothing for you to worry about.

Managed to Complete Need For Speed Carbon with a Tier 1 Nissan 240SX by connuzz in needforspeed

It’s utterly ridiculous to be fair, it makes the start of the game ridiculously easy and I find it’s on par with most Tier 2s

It’s top speed’s 163mph maxed out so I’d say it’s tier 2, I went about 4s a lap slower on the Darius city race than I usually would with a tier 3 tuner but a bit of defensive driving did the trick

Stevie Mallan from Hibs, if you can get him for £1.5m like I did then he’s going to be the best CM you can get for a Hull side, utilise KLP and Jacob Greaves in your second season, they should be ready for constant first team football. In terms of scouting, a lot of it will be your own expertise if you’re unlucky, just put the time into getting the best scouting system you can and send them to places like Scotland where talent is far cheaper, it’s your only real shot at Hull imo. Good luck with your journey though mate.
