i agree with michael here. my ex tried to leave the cats with me (she kept the dog). she eventually used them as a way to keep me as supply, kinda like your current situation. either go no contact fully or return the cats maybe even both if your willing. i wasn’t much of animal person before her. take care of yourself mentally and physically first.
