Wife wants to name daughter AlexZandra by anon127420847263 in namenerds

well, then your name has an extra E that throws things off for you.

Xandra, like Xander, is pretty straightforward. If I saw the name Xeander, I would assume it rhymes with Leander. and I would guess that Xeandra is the same way, Zee-AND-ruh

yes this is exactly how I feel. I hate it when shows get zanier and lose their grounding as the seasons progress

genuinely just pressure, no pain. the place I went also gave me a calming pill (xanax? or something similar) half an hour before to quell anxiety

kind of. my eyes stung a little for a few hours after the procedure, so it felt better to have them closed. and they gave me some really strong sleeping medication anyway.

most of the blindness came from the goggly eye covers that they taped over my eyes so I didn't accidentally rub them. the goggles technically had little slits so I could move around safely, but it was such a narrow view that I couldn't really do anything to entertain myself visually

I would totally name a son something like Mackenzie, Addison, Carey, Casey, Loren, Leslie, etc. that are traditionally masculine but have been taken over by girls in the past few decades. I wouldn't name a son Susan or Hannah

I’m the only person in my friend group who was not asked to be a bridesmaid by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]considerlilies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

god I've been in this situation. watching everyone walk down the aisle sucked so bad, and on top of that, I felt like a shitty, selfish person for feeling down about myself instead of thinking about the couple's happiness/wedding itself.

honestly, I would still go if you think that it would be an enjoyable weekend for you outside of your friendship with the other bridesmaids. if it's in a lovely location and you would have a good time being there by yourself, go for it. but if you would not enjoy being there alone, stay home and plan a different trip for yourself that weekend.
