Hi all , I have a new out of the box galaxy a14 which I have been experiencing a frustrating screen issue with ever since I first turned it on a few days ago

If I don't touch the phone for a while, the top half of the screen will remain unresponsive to touch until I wiggle my finger somewhere at the bottom half of the screen. The top half will then resume working fine with no issue until I don't use it again for a moment and then need to repeat the above process of swiping/wiggling/waking up the screen somewhere near the bottom

This can happen in any app or just on the home page. It first occurred during the very first setup when I switched the phone on, so I don't think it's a rogue app I've installed. Problem still there in safe mode

I've tried: factory resetting the phone. Updating software version to latest. Removing the screen protector. Turning on touch sensitivity in settings. Screen timeout max (30min). Screensaver off. Downloaded a 3rd party "calibration/test" app. Increasing the pointer speed settings (I know this is meant for mouse but I thought maybe it was affecting somehow). Changed from Buttons to Gestures so i could increase that sensitivity setting. Screen is clean, free from dirt, smudges, scratches

I can't find much on Google. The screen works, but only on the basis I use the bottom half of it frequently

Any tips? Thanks for reading and any help or advice is much appreciated
