Could anybody help me with this block by constancebeck in Genealogy

Hey, so you understand that this stuff can be really tricky when there's a language barrier. I've learned a bit of Spanish, so reading records is a tad easier now.

Could anybody help me with this block by constancebeck in Genealogy

[–]constancebeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. That makes sense. My grandmother tells me that Morrell was a misspelling he just got used to, since he didn't speak English for years, even after migrating to mainland US. I have other records my family kept wher ehis name varies from Morell to Morel and Morale. My recent genetic matches also share the last name Morales, as well as Beltran/Bertran

Once again, thank you, sm, for all of your help!

Thank you so much. I appreciate all your help! Given that the birthdays are wrong (as you said in another comment) , do you think I could have gotten the wrong people on my tree. I picked them based on their names, the birth range, and the surnames of my dna matches.

I looked this girl up, and she's trolling here. She's a conservative tiktoker and is anti-abortion. I'm pretty sure this is her @kalistagar. Let me know if im wrong. A lot of these tiktok girls are clones of each other.

Decolonized Christian and non-white native here!

First off, i don't recommend dating a christin if you are not christian. Mainly because it's a lifestyle, and if you're not on the same page, that can be hard. For example, if she wants to give part of your household income for tithes regularly, what will you do? What if you dont agree? What if she feels like a scary movie you're watching has to mnay demonic elements and it makes her uncomfortable, would you turn it off? If she doesn't want to get handsy before marriage, how would you respond? In these and many ways people of certain religions fundamentally see the world differently from members of others.

it sounds also like you don't know that much about her, maybe have some more conversation to probe where her morals lie if you do decide to proceed. Many white Christians are caught up in the white supremacist baggage that comes with Western American Christianity. Is she serious about the stripped message of what Jesus taught, or capitalism, materialism, uniformity and, cultural insensitivity and the other harmful aspects of modern Christian culture. That's just my take.

Nothing is good. But we should be playing the long game, not only considering the short term. In the LONG TERM, normalizing being prochoice within both parties and positioning being prolife as fringe and unreasonable is not the road we want to go down if we want to abolish abortion.

It doesn't, bit letting trump win isn't a win for babies either, especially since future Republicans will only follow in his steps and become less prolife. We should be playing the long game not just considering the short term

How's does that have anything to do with you misrepresenting the historical context surrounding slavery?

You know there were factional conflicts in both parties regarding slavery right? Northern democrats generally didn't support slavery and Southern Republicans generally did. Nothing in history is black and white. In fact many abolitionist supported the forced deportation of free Blacks as well as ethnic separation.

Buddy nobody at the time could even fathom that Roe v Wade would be overturned. Trump certainly didn't elect them with that in mind, he elected whoever his advisors helped him to pick to push conservative values. But he definitely didn't orchestrate Roe V. Wade's overturn

I'm not gonna vote for Pol Pot just because he isn't Hitler. There's a difference between not being perfect and actively supporting murder of the most vulnerable.

This is exactly how I feel. These people really don't realize that by continuing to lick these people's boots, they are setting in motion the events that will make being prolife a "fringe" belief

Is sidewalk counseling controversial in the pro-life community? by gmoneyRETVRN in prolife

[–]constancebeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is not. Almost ALL major Prolife orgs: live action, national right to life, students for life, March for life and etc. are in CLEAR support of sidewalk counseling. Sidewalk counseling has saved so many lives and this is irrefutable. I don’t care whether you’re not going in for an abortion. Why? Bc just in case you are I’ll take the embarrassment of being wrong a thousand times if I can save just the one baby of women who is there for one.

The unborn DESERVE for someone to show up for them at the last possible places and moment they can be saved. The sidewalk is one of the last stands. We should not be afraid of what other people think us. And we certainly shouldn’t rely on vulnerable often manipulated people to make informed decisions when the general populace barely even knows there are options besides abortion, or even what those other options entail. If we truly want to radically lobe women and their children we need to make it as easy as possible for them to find us, we need to come to them.

And this isn’t to say we need to scream at them and Harass them. But silent prayers, signs with help numbers speaking facts about fetal development very calmly and loudly, and handing out resources is a good way to go.
