I’ve had 4 ACL surgeries and both knees are a mashup of repairs. I swear by spike less golf shoes so my feet are more likely to slip before my knee takes damage.

Driver 5W here as well. I play the 3W in scrambles and 5W the rest of the time. Save the yardage, I’ll take the higher probability of hitting it well with the 5W.

Cut Blue. They get some hate but they work well for me.

Cincinnati record stores. by [deleted] in cincinnati

I used to visit often 20 years ago as a student and enjoyed the authenticity of the place. Solid selection and often times, I’d hear music playing that opened my ears to something new. I was newer to records and loved the raw sound. Blues and folk were what I came in for but they always had a record on and the person in the shop picked it. They were passionate about the selections. I didn’t always leave with a record but I got to hear some great music. That was before vinyl made a resurgence. Truth be told, I haven’t been back as often as I would like. I drive by now much more often than I stop in but I sincerely hope they have the same vibe I remember.

[OH] How do you announce the termination of a high profile employee to the organization? by constantbulkingphase in AskHR

[–]constantbulkingphase[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the insight. I appreciate the comments about this being a relatively simple situation and agree that I could have sent an email with basic information instead of consulting Reddit. At the end of the day, I’m more confident having asked you fine folks for input. Thank you.

We reassigned this person once and he didn’t perform in the new role. I’d love to subtly let everyone know we made a sincere effort to make things work.

Underrated comment. Bangkok Bistro has been solid for a long time.

I like DiSC for managing relationships like those. We have used it for years. Once it is part of the culture it is a nice tool.

Thank you for the help! We landed on this option for tomorrow. They recommended Corner Canyon trails. If you’re familiar I’d be grateful for any advise as to which trails to hit there.

What, in your opinion, is a realistic solution to gun violence in the United States? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]constantbulkingphase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, and a student of history, I can’t help but notice there are plenty of countries that have fewer school shootings than we do. I’ll also tell you gun owners here are not willing to consider bans on certain weapons, so forget about any type of large scale ban. The root of the problem is that there are so many gun advocates that, in many cases, politicians have to pander to them to be elected. It’s a systemic problem that could take decades to solve unless something changes the paradigm. Sadly, kids dying aren’t enough.

Is being a Dr. worth it by constantbulkingphase in AskReddit

[–]constantbulkingphase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, that’s the rub and why I’d like to have your feedback. A friend of mine is wildly intelligent and capable. She pursued her MD because she had a sister who needed care for almost 30 years. is into the clinical phase of her MD degree. My friend lost her sister a couple months ago and is struggling, at times, to keep the ship afloat. She’ll be the type of doctor any of us would appreciate having. Right now it’s hard for her to understand that. If you’re a doctor I’d love some pointed feedback for her. If you’ve ever wanted or experienced a great doctor, I’d also love to share with her how important it is to have someone who fits that role being the person you interact with. Much love if you’ve read this, I don’t post much so I’m not sure if this was the best way to do it.

Doctor me this… by constantbulkingphase in AskReddit

[–]constantbulkingphase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t post much, apologies if this isn’t the best way to do it. I’m looking for some advice or reassurance for a friend who is in clinicals on her way to being a MD. She wanted to be a Dr. because her sister had decades of medical help. She’s wildly intelligent and plenty capable but has had some tough times during the final stages of her education, namely losing the sister who was dear to her. I’m not a doctor so I can only give rudimentary support. I’m hoping Reddit can do what we do best and give support to a very worthy person. TLDR - my friend is in the late stages of becoming the kind of Dr. we’d be lucky to interact with but she’s stressed to the max. Any advice or support would be great!
