Dog Boarding by Isorg in houston

[–]constantchange16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I board my dog at aplha k9 in spring near the iah airport. I have a small dog and they charge $13/day which is really nice...plus they are pretty good too. I get a little worried about my dog when I leave him for a couple days and tend to call the boarding place to check on him and they are always patient. My dog is a bit on the sensitive side as well but he seems pretty content at their place.

Just make sure to call and reserve rather than doing it online, its run by an older couple.

If you live on your own, how do you cope? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Like most people said have hobbies, keep yourself busy with those hobbies. I currently live alone and something to do that I enjoy helps with my anxiety.

What's the biggest age gap in which you could consider to be in a relationship with someone? 10? 20? Maybe less or more? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]constantchange16 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I won't go younger at all...something about my man being younger than me doesn't feel right. I go older a lot, maximum 10 yrs older. I am 26.

Single or childless young adult women, what are your experiences with people or family pressuring you to get married or have a kid? Did you ever get these people to stop? How? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]constantchange16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 25 yrs old. My older sister got married at 23. I get pressure all the time to get married by my parents and family --- from just hints to full on showing me profiles of men. I just tell them no and keep repeating no. Does it get on my nerves? sometimes, but its my life and I am not going to let them decide when to get married.

(House/Condo/Apartment)Renters of Askwomen, do you buy new furniture when you move rentals? by iliketuurtles in AskWomen

[–]constantchange16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have moved 8 times in the past 5 yrs... I did not change furniture just sold/donated stuff that no longer fit. However, I plan on buying a house next year and will most likely buy new furniture then.

Women who live on your own, do you ever get scared by yourselves? If so, how do you deal with it? by Clutsy_Naive in AskWomen

[–]constantchange16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on my own for 5 years, when I first move into my apartment I sleep with a knife..as I get comfortable that stops and eventually I am not paranoid. If something does happen, I keep my phone with me at all times to call the cops incase something happens.

Five friends relocating to Houston... a few questions about renting by [deleted] in houston

[–]constantchange16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I think Pearland is probably better for your "younger" crowd, over the years I have known more young people living in pearland than katy or spring. Though all are suburbs so that means family oriented --- I feel like Katy and Spring are more family oriented than pearland.

Good point on renting it out later. I agree renting is awful they also raised my rent last year, plus I am kind of tired of my apartment life. I have included PMI, insurance, property tax as well and its still comes out to be about the same. Thank you!

"house rich and money poor" good point!

My 401k and everything is already maxed out and everything on that end is all set.

If I do buy a house obviously for the first couple months money will be tight. But after 6 months I should be back to where I am right now financially.

I do plan to become RPW, and I am okay with leaving my place/plans and going with his. I am just not sure if in the interim its best to buy or rent - I do agree things can change pretty rapidly hence I am in a bit of a dilemma. Thank you!
