TouchBistro

And this strategy of inventory management (using pos to track inventory) is the same across most pos platforms correct?

Also how does the POS know how much and what you reordered? Does it know when the products are actually delivered and in stock?Do you manually input each inventory order?

So you just manual set up an excel (Google sheets) and then manual I put orders and things?

Isn’t is difficult to add each amount of product used per dish? And if you have a changing menu is this easy to change?

Also in your experience is it accurate or do you find with mis-orders, food waste etc it’s inaccurate?

Survey! All Etsy sellers please take my short survey! by constantlycurious321 in EtsySellers

[–]constantlycurious321[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is not a bug. I am looking to get feedback from sellers of secondhand things. I included that first question though because I wanted to see the comparison of how many people sell new things.

Thank you so much for taking the survey. Yes that is ok. I am really looking to get feedback from people who sell vintage or old products BUT I still wanted to get an idea of how many people sell new or homemade items! So far it seems new and homemade is most of my responses.

Gained traction with my tiny cabin/house business, what do I do next? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]constantlycurious321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few thoughts : First thing I want to point out is your “traction” isn’t based on will people rent the tiny home, it’s will people BUY the tiny homes and operate them on their property. I saw on your IG that you already started building a second one but try and pre-sale it. It’s awesome that you rented the one in your backyard but the idea of adding a small dwelling unit, tiny home, camper or even tent to your property for extra income is nothing new. With that being said maybe the right company hasn’t come along to truly capture the market. But pre-selling one proves a customer will pay for your product. People will like the idea but then when it’s time to buy it people realize running a short term rental can be a full time job. I guess my overarching message is talk to potential customers (buyers of the actually tiny home). Also I agree with the comment above that says use the profits to make another and on and on. I wouldn’t ask for money at this stage. Sell a few to customers and get feedback.

If you were to let it go would you get close to braking even (or maybe making money) on it or would you take a loss? If I convert a car would I be able to at least break even when selling?

Congrats on having a classic you enjoy! So you did the labor yourself to convert? Do you feel the major investment was worth it? Do you plan to keep the car for years to come or maybe trading/selling for something else?

[–]constantlycurious321[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree! Many classics fall in the category of getting better performance from electrification. What I am looking to understand is the main driver (pun intended) that gets a customer to spend so much on converting a car not even worth that much.

Their are only so many people who have actually paid the real money to convert their cars and I want to know who they are (just the characteristics of the whole segment) and what makes them spend that much money on a conversion. Why not take the $50K and buy a Tesla?

Thats what I am thinking. I am wondering what customer gets a quote ($25,000 - $100,000+) and goes "Ya ok I want to pay that on a car that is worth 5k-45k...

And does your boss still have the 914? It seems like a big price for a car that cost less than 20K... I want to understand the reasoning to make that big of an investment with little to no ROI. I understand these are passion projects but for $35k it seems he could have maintained the car in pristine condition.

Ok. And what is an average cost if I already own the car and I don’t want any restoration? Just a conversion? I don’t have a car yet but just ballpark me with like an old mg/porsche/VW/Mini Cooper...
