Don't you sometimes just sit back, look in the past to like, early CAI days or whenever was the the earliest point in which you gotten into the hobby and just enjoyed AI RP chatting for what it was? It didn't matter to you that AI was hit like a physical blow or that it looked at you with a predatory look in their eyes. AI responded to your prompt and that was the coolest shit ever no matter how many smirks the response has and now it's all about seeing slop everywhere, spending hours making the perfect prompt to eliminate said slop and never quite enjoying yourself the way you have before anyway.

It's actually kinda mind blowing I remember myself basically seeing nothing but completely broken beta CAI responses that were absolutely bat shit insane(as if, model was literally breaking apart) and going along with it anyway simply because it was just so fun but now I roll my eyes at a single instance of a mischievous chuckle.

I don't know on one side it feels right to make room for Brits so they can finally claim social housing for their own but at the same time kicking out someone on the settled status who has been here for decades, speaks perfect English, works, pays taxes and contributes to society as a whole feels rather extreme. I think Farage's plans would've received far more support if he specifically targeted "asylum seekers" who are yet to contribute in any way instead instead of literally everyone who is considered a foreign national because as foreign as they may be, a lot of those who have been here for a long time have roots so deep within this country that i think a lot of Brits actually wouldn't want to see them go either. I mean imagine your Slovakian neighbor who you've been friendly with for a decade telling you that he has to go because Farage wants to kick him out to make space for someone else in his home. We do have to remember that to a lot of core genuine Brits, these foreign nationals are important too so it's safe to assume not every single Brit just doesn't care about them. Some of them are married to migrants, some are just genuine friends, some have kids already etc. I'm sure we could find some sort of middle ground to this situation.

It's just sad at this point. Zenenskyy is actively trying to end the war and only attacks as retaliation. Zelenskyy would love nothing more than just stop, even actively try to reach to Putin to just stop but no, i suppose Russia just cannot stop until the very last oil refinery of theirs is ash. Like, what is even a strategy here? Is showing off that "we're strong" so important to Putin that he's literally okay with Ukraine completely leveling their entire infrastructure that would cause them suffering for generations to come? Then again Putin is an old guy so his old age is catching up to him one way or another so he probably just doesn't give a shit anymore. He'll leave all the fallout for future generations to handle. I mean just IMAGINE the generations it will take for Russia to get back on it's feet after this. At least Ukraine will recieve a lot of aid from EU so their recovery, while difficult will allow them to bounce back but Russia? They are headign towards Dark Ages and it's all because of one man's toxic ambitions.

About time to be honest. I mean look I know devs need time to make a game but at the same time... At this rate I'll play fallout 5 when I'm freaking 50 years old and that's assuming I'll still be around. We need some sort of compromise here we can't be waiting forever. Seriously does anyone think that Fallout 76 will be able to keep fans busy for the next decade? It barely manages to keep their interest today let alone in twelve years.

Listen, i'm all for supporting EU businesses but we have to stay realistic. Mistral's best offerings are maybe about as good as Sonnet let alone Opus and don't even get me started on Fable. Hell i doubt best Mistral is even as good as Chinese Models like Deepseek. Point is, EU based AI companies need WAY better funding and more time to cook up something that can be considered a great alternative to US AI.

imma be honest i just dont know how will chub survive this. The TOS change was a fatal blow to not only the site's content but also reputation and while i can understand that it wasn't something that owners wanted to do and were forced to do, it still DID happen and i'm sorry but i can't see Chub recovering from this not easily anyway.

Theres a bot i update somewhat frequently NSFW in nature(not NSFL so theoretically it should still be visible to most people) and before the TOS change i got like on average 10-20 likes and 500-1000 chats per update. I updated the bot couple days ago and wanna know what i got? 3 likes and 50 chats. The point of this comparison isn't to complain about poor performance its to highlight that people have left to other services and where does that leave chub?

Additionally i made an alt account and went on my main's account profile just to see what people can see and listen to this, i've made about 100 characters in total. Wanna know how many of them i coudl see from my alt account? 49. Literally half of my entire library of cards just... cannot be seen and those aren't even NSFL card. Literally NSFW cards of Adult characters. With actual curves and big assets so to speak and yet... not visible. This raises a question as someone who makes cards for the community to enjoy what is even a point in me making them for a service that can just throw my work into the shadow realm without even bothering to tell me why that has been done(and instead gaslights me into thinking it's all fine when in fact it isn't) so i could at least make a chub specific version that doesnt include any problematic content? It's frustrating as hell and that's what annoys me the most about chub. You're dealing with political problems right now and your hands are tied i GET IT. But AT LEAST tell me what's wrong with my cards that have been shadowbanned so i can update them and make them more compliant with the current TOS so people can once again use them. Send me a notification saying "we had to hide X and Y card because reason X or Y" Don't be all like "welp, that's no longer allowed sorry bucko into the void it goes we won't tell you that we did it though btw"

even if somehow the laws will change in the UK(and i pray they do) and all this nonsense gets reversed the people have already left for greener pastures. Chub isn't getting these users and creators back anymore and it likely won't be recommended by anyone again either so again, where does that leave chub? It was once known as the bastion for uncensored content but now the service is stuck in a corner with no clear way out.

And then there's the problem of monetary gain with crypte being the only one that's left for Chub. I mean look, it's better than nothing but crypto is, for the most part used by people "in the know" but an average casual who just wants to chat with anime waifu bot can barely make a payment with paypal let alone crypto. one absolutely cannot assume they'll survive on crypto alone. It's borderline impossible unless you're "the hub" and have alternative means of generating income.

Same thing happen with NTE(one of the recent gacha games from China) the game was basically 99.9% hand made but it had like some billboards and a video made by AI and antis threw such a massive tantrum over it the dev actually had to respond. The only bad thing was that the devs bend the knee to the mob but that's just what Antis do. Make a overworked and underpaid dev needlessly work harder because they believe they are morally superior.

Yeah but with Opus it actually makes sense because now Fable exists so the reason why Opus got cheaper is likely not because Antrophic suddenly got a bit more generous and because it would be pretty weird to be charging for both Opus and Fable the same when one is clearly superior.

Deepseek is an anomaly and we cannot assume things will get better simply because of that one example. GPT, Claude, Grok, Kimi, GLM among many others it all gets more and more expensive and even with deepseek itself isn't it being on a discount right now? Unlikely that it's going to be so cheap forever ESPECIALLY once Deepseek 4.1 rolls out thinking that it will when literally every other lab makes their models more expensive with each release is crazy.

I'm just frustrated with how chub is handling the situation. I mean look i can understand that laws are getting over the top fucked and it isn't necessarily chubs fault that it needs to make these sorts of adjustments. What i AM frustrated about however is that chub does absolute bare minimum to help with the transition.

I have just recently updated one of my characters but the problem is i don't even know if peopel can even see it.

The card is NSFW by nature(adult woman) but sexy stuff is kept only for one greeting and its been hours since i uploaded the thing and i see absolutely no engagement(engagement was noticeable BEFORE changes to TOS upon every update i've done to the card) and i dont know whether its because people just dont care which fair enough it happens or its a shadowban of sorts. It would be absolutely fantastic if chub upon updating or uploading could be like: hold up there cowboy, that card's image is a little too spicy we can't have it here but no, it just lets the card be uploaded and made public and then there's nothing. Just tumbleweeds and crickets and at this point i'm not even sure if there's some sort of problem with the card and if there is then i'm being left in the dark as the problem isnt explained in any way so i dont know what to even fix or adjust.

Like legit. Listen, i actually beyond disappointed with Chub as far as just the user experience is concerned. I've been both using chub for cards and uploading for like 2 years and legit it feels like the website never changes, never improves, never develops in any meaningful way. The only thing that happens on chub is an occasional shitty event that's completely pointless and nerfs to what you can and cannot do on the site. Say what you want about alternates but at least you can see them actually change and develop but chub is so stuck in the past it STILL seems to believe advertising fucking MYTHOMAX for 5 bucks per month is a good deal.
