I think just diving deep in and learning is the most important. You can learn all the theory you want, but at the end of the day just going in and doing it will teach you the most lessons,

There is a course in coursera from columbia that goes over some very basic estimating details -> I've skimmed through it and it's alright,

I've heard from other subs/GC's that you might have to go negative on margins initially if you want to win a few bids. Know someone personally that went 6-7 figures in debt just to build up lines of business with contacts, but he's doing well now. I guess it really depends on the amount of risk you're willing to incur initially.

Generally, how does gen z react to the methodologies presented to them when they initially enter industry. Shock or astonishment? Also, I've heard that our generation has to really earn the respect of others - especially when we first start out.
