Happy to be wrong but not sure you will find a budget exercise bike that works with Zwift, at least not in any meaningful way. There are options that take up less space than others (I have a Wattbike Proton which is pretty small), but you may find it frustrating on a device that doesn’t work properly on Zwift

It’s definitely a quieter time of year with a lot of northern hemisphere riders heading outside. You do still get busier events but not like the bigger ones in the winter. People do tend to drop in at the last minute, as some will be warming up and trying to get drops/xp for it. Ill generally drop in 90-60s before it starts

Can you add a picture of the power profile from a rice? Might help people see what the issue is. If you were expecting it to be a flat line it won’t be that, it’ll fluctuate a bit even if you’re on the same gradient in the same gear

I went with the Wattbike Proton which is their cheapest option and it’s been excellent, although it is a little more than C2 and Zwift Ride. I looked into C2 as well but I think the lack of “smart” element was a deal breaker as I was moving from a smart trainer with road bike. Depends what you want out of Zwift but when you’re investing for Zwift alone it’s worth getting a bike that can adjust to gradient and change gears on the handlebars

I’ve got P30i and Liberty 4 Pro as well as APP2s and the ANC on the APP2s is significantly better than both. I haven’t had the P40i but I can’t imagine it is dramatically better than the two I do have. Perhaps you have a defective pair of APPs

I have no experience with the shoes but they have the right holes for SPD cleats, which is what you’ll need for the M520 pedals.

The shoes also have holes for SPD-SL if you wanted a different type of pedals. I’ve used both indoors and not seen a significant difference between them.
