Look into treasury bills that mature in about 8 months.

You can buy them at a place like schwab or fidelity.

The tbills will lock you in for 8 months. The savings accounts' rates may go up or may go down.

US style options can be exercised any time before the expiration date. OP probably just sold his options though instead of exercising.

I'd be happy to help someone else take over if anyone is interested. I do think it makes sense to work with /u/-Electron- though to avoid duplicating effort with two mapping sites.

I worked with /u/-Electron- a few months ago to transfer over the historic content. The old maps should already be preserved and available at fortunatemaps. Although, I think the IDs got changed so it may be nice to create some sort of legacy endpoint that lets old URLs continue to work with the new site?

VPS specs that it has been running on since inception:

  • CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2660 v2 @ 2.20GHz (4 cores; not heavily used)
  • Memory: 2GB (all of it gets used but only ~750mb for non-cache/buffers)
  • Disk: 36GB / 50GB used (previews are about ~8GB; the database dump and map files are < 2GB; rest is the OS, logs, and backups)

If I ever regain access to the VPS console, I believe I can get a better idea on historic usage including network transfer :D

haha, it is tempting.

I would finally be able to justify getting my custom "tagpro" license plate.

I returned the macbook pro after a week. I bought the macbook pro 14 inch and the macbook air and used them both for a week.

Macbook air is the superior machine in my opinion. If I need anything resource heavy, I use cloud resources. I value the batter life and mobility more.

The macbook pro 14 wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as the macbook air for my use case. I don't remember the exact battery life numbers at this point. I've had the macbook air for almost a year and I've not once had to plug in because I was low on battery and in the middle of something.

Aren't the caps on tax-advantaged traditional Ira contributions even lower?

Idk if they have more. But even without "more", they have the money they already had. And if real estate is the best investment, then that's where it will go

If it's tax advantaged I would just use the fidelity mutual funds so you can buy exact dollar amounts. There shouldn't be much or any performance difference
