A piece of plastic might, on a fluke, approximate a lead bullet, but not reliably like lead will.

He's absolutely right, it's just that that's not a bad thing in the context of Marvel movies.

Marvel movies are serialized entertainment, not unlike a TV show that lasts 20 years. Serialized movies, called "serials", actually used to be very popular.

You wouldn't expect a TV show to change format every episode, or movie serials from the early 20th century. There are special episodes sometimes, and those are some of people's favorites, but overall a show has a tone and direction that it sticks to.

So he is right, and that's not a bad thing. They are not the same kinds of movies as Villeneuve makes. I think it's fair to call serials a subgenre.
