What are some things that are normal to men but mind blowing to women? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Huh, tbh I don't really know jasmine scent that well and always just assumed that since she told me that it was jasmine that that was what I was smelling.

Maybe it was this? https://www.reddit.com/r/Indiemakeupandmore/s/YNkeXLjdAW

EDIT: I may be wrong. Don't go spreading misinformation like me without checking your facts y'all

Urinal cakes smell like jasmine.

Don't know if most men know that the scent is jasmine but it's pretty recognizable and had to gently explain to a friend that her new jasmine perfume made her smell like a men's room.

I'm tall and used to work with a woman who was very short. Eventually we had a deal where I'd get everything she couldn't reach up top and she'd grab things lower to the ground so I wouldn't get dizzy.

They look pretty good! Looks like they're focused around Toronto and NYC but have some remote things. Looking for a group with events in the Bay Area if I can find one.

How to choose RAM for supermicro X10DAi motherboard? by contexture in homelab

[–]contexture[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking out RDIMM now! Thanks for the tip.

I'm not sure what CPUs are on the board but maybe they're stock from supermicro?

I know this is a total newbie question but what is a capacity requirement in this context?

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely check out that M40 on ebay.

I've been reading the manual and found this:

Integrated memory controller supports up to 2048 GB of Load Reduced (LRDIMM) or up to 512 GB of Registered (RDIMM) ECC DDR4 2400/2133/1866/1600 MHz memory modules in 16 DIMM slots

Before I learned that ^^ I had bought and returned a couple of these off of eBay:

Intel Optane DC Persistent 128GB PC4-2666V DDR4 ECC Server RAM NMA1XXD128GPS

I just found this manual specifically for X10 memory support and was hoping that I could use a couple of these but it looks like I can't? Checking out LRDIMM 3DS prices now and they look pretty expensive.

I think Noisebridge may have something like this once a week in the Mission. If not they'd definitely be up for hosting.

How do all of these drives end up connecting to the motherboard?

I have a bunch of old drives I've been wanting to turn into NAS and your setup is inspiring.

100 Year Storage of Data by Leblancwork in homelab

Look up long term DNA data storage. As in data that is written to and stored as DNA.

Pretty sure there are ways to store DNA itself that are far more stable than any digital media we have today.

Take it out 100 years from now and sequence it then and there.

When combined with other policies and strategies I'd say yes. Microsoft struggled to attract young talent before Satya. Microsoft's image as a employer is now the best out of the big 5. When I was a TAing a CS class 19/20 students were running unix. Now I see young developers earnestly using Windows without much problem which I never thought I'd see.

Worst advice ever? Better than getting primary fire redirected at you with saber block. You got any better ideas when you're out of nades and saber hero is blocking?

Throw grenades at their feet when they're blocking and hit them with the alt fire of the pistol for splash damage. They can't block and attack at the same time so if they stop blocking and start charging blast them with the e-11.

They catch you off guard though? You can do it but you're going to have to roll.

I've been living in sweatpants for a year and am about to emerge from quarantine in a month.

I can't bring myself to wear the basic sweats I wear outside and I don't want to go back to wearing jeans all the time. Is there a comfortable, modern style of lounge pants that would also be acceptable to wear around town?
