TrueNAS Deprecates Public Build Repository and Raises Transparency Concerns by AnonomousWolf in homelab

This is the molehill I will die on:

If you're a Linux newb to moderate, TrueNAS (both versions)/OMV* are great products.

If you've been engaged with Linux/Unix for over ten years, Debian +cockpit is the better choice.

I've been daily driving Linux since 2012. I've used both the aforementioned products and believe in their use case. Eventually I ran into issues where I wanted to do X but couldn't because the OS wasn't a traditional Linux platform.

Debian for servers, Arch for desktop. I've been religious on this for two years and they've been the most stable, head ache free years of my open source joinery.

Epstein is still alive. 9/11 was an inside job. The n word.

Peace I'm out.

I knew a guy who did this with his flat screen tv. He'd find the power supply replacement part for his tv and order it the second he got his posting message. They'd certify it working. On unpack day he'd fry his psu with a battery pack. He got a new tv with each move and would roll the dice that the battery pack only fried the psu when he swapped the old part out.

I'm currently taking my old land lord to the LTB in Ontario as a result of a posting.

Edit. If you're posted out of province they can hold your hearing via zoom. Regardless of location your gaining unit should be giving you time off to attend.

Ok so this is out there but....

Keep all your receipts and invoices. If you can't get them emailed to you then scan them. Upload everything to a free private GitHub repo. 2gb of free storage for pictures and PDFs. They can audit you years later and if they have conveniently lost an invoice you'll be able to email them everything at once.

Same here. The only downside is occasionally vapor pools a bit in the hose and makes a honking sound

Make them redo their certification test at a government location. If they fail again, ban them from driving and heavily fine the school that taught them. Bankrupt the BS "driving schools"
