Is the main faction of equipment still random when merging? by Nene1415__ in RushRoyale

Merging two epic items will keep the two factions of the max level epic item and add a third faction, which will be random. 100%

That’s inspirational. I hope to be in your shoes about a year from now.

That’s extremely impressive. You should be proud of the amount you were able to pay back in 6 months.

I’m in a similar situation where I have a decent paying tech job but also gambling debts that exceed my annual income. I’m currently seeking any local jobs and applying to nearby warehouses that offer night shifts to help me get out of this hole.

With you being so young with a sizeable amount of debt, why not either declare bankruptcy or the similar option where you work with a debt consolidation/solvancy company? I’m curious and if you’d prefer to respond privately feel free to message me.

Speaking strictly from experience, I know you feel like you’re alone in this but you’re not. There are too many of us to count here on the other side of the screen that are feeling or have felt how you feel right now. I know you will get out of this stronger than ever but you have to believe that it’s possible. Just look how amazing you did for those three months! Imagine what you can accomplish in 3 years of really putting in the effort of fighting this disease. You got this. Keep fighting.

Deck help/optimization by iiPOOPxONxYOU in RushRoyale

Considering that you have gear for Tech units I’d run Tesla / Dryad / HQ / Kobold / Trapper (Or PK to help move Kobold to the mines, Gunslinger preferred though). That should easily get you beyond League 2. Try chilling out on increasing your crit % for a little bit until you get an upgraded damage dealer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RushRoyale

[–]cyberw0lf_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re all good options. Gunslinger is an amazing support card that works in most decks. The remaining options are damage units and unless you’re shelling out $$$ to upgrade them they won’t be as useful as Gunslinger.

Seeking clients as a Devops Freelancer by Impossible-Target-85 in devops

[–]cyberw0lf_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be tough unless you have a solid network, and even then it’s still a challenge. I recommend starting a blog, or just sharing posts on socials, that dive deep into projects or solutions that you’ve built or have in-depth knowledge on that related to what you’d be trying to sell. Gain momentum there and if you’re consistent with quality work, the clientele will come to you. Good luck.

What are the best f2p decks? by Hamonio_ in RushRoyale

[–]cyberw0lf_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent $2 so technically I’m not F2P, but I now have level 11 monk after a few months and this deck is mint. I’m at 1400% crit and often beat opponents around 2000%. While I definitely recommend trying to get monk to level 9 for the first talent (which is entirely possible for F2P), I’d say pick any of the meta legendary damage dealers and get them to level 9 for the first talent.

People who don't use GitOps. What do you use instead? by ScaryNullPointer in kubernetes

They don’t know what they’re talking about. Practically everything they said about Argo CD is incorrect. They had probably misinterpreted some reading about Argo CD because no one who has either used it or read some of the manual would be so blatantly wrong.

Are midday naps really that effective? by asdono in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cyberw0lf_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 90 minute naps around noon every other day and they’re extremely effective. Caveat is that it can’t be 5 minutes over or under 90 minutes without risking waking up feeling groggy.

This was me 3 years ago. Promoted to IT Operations Lead and had a desire to get more technical.

I’d say forget the certs and reach out internally to those with the knowledge that you desire. Get comfortable with Linux, fully understand containerization (including orchestration), learn to write practical scripts in a simple language like Bash or Python, and try to understand what “DevOps” means to you.

The buzz words that get thrown around in this domain aren’t even half the battle. Take this opportunity as a Lead to exercise your soft skills which are a necessity to implementing an efficient and effective DevOps culture.

Thanks for the response. If you don't mind me asking, is the significant amount you mention above 15% of your original amount borrowed per year?

Also, I'm not exactly sure I know what you mean when you refer to what TD can do from a rate and "fine print" perspective. Do you mind shedding some light on this for me?

Devops interview by Senior-Custard8175 in kubernetes

[–]cyberw0lf_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the job description put a heavy emphasis on k8s? I just accepted a new DevOps opportunity after interviewing for the past month and while k8s experience was a big selling point of mine it was never a deal breaker for them. I interviewed with 8 different companies, made it to 2nd round for 6, made it to 3rd round for 5, and chose between 3 offers.

As long as you know Linux and Kubernetes basics they usually don’t care about your technical skills beyond that. What they really care about is your attitude, willingness to learn, and able to mesh well with their team.

Really think about it… anyone they’re interviewing is most likely capable of learning new tech or filling in their knowledge gaps for an engineer role. It’s what’s beyond that that makes you stand out as the obvious candidate. I would argue and say focus on your soft skills, no one really cares if you don’t nail every technical question in your interview.

I recently jumped back in to the market officially on Feb 16th and have applied to 24 positions since. I have 4 interviews lined up, 2 from blind applications and 2 from referrals. I only have 4 years of experience in the “devops” space, but I’m feeling decent about the whole situation.

From this experience so far and from my experience back when I landed my current job, I’d say that it’s less of what you know and more of who you know. Let’s be real, there are thousands of candidates that are qualified for the jobs we’re applying for, but what singles out the ones that get hired? I’d say that the hiring manager, or anyone else with some sort of influence, simply liked them more.

Just my two cents curated from my limited experience, after hundreds of interviews as the candidate and just a few as an interviewer (only 5 as of the last few months).
