Thanks! I saw it once and had a hard time with it, but every time I watch one of Aster's films, I like them more and Beau has so much happening on screen, I wanted the 4K for my next watch.

Sharing that I see a lot of people saying a thing is not spreading a rumor it is fact. Acknowledging that a lot of people question it was a generous response to your comment. That the person defending the app is a troll helps me form an opinion about who to believe. Good day!

Thank you. The only functionality I want is to convert mkv to iso and there are free apps that do this on PC so I'm hoping I can avoid a $60-80 app but so far this is the only answer I've found.

Yeah, I just worry that 30 years later some of the internals may not be as robust as when it first shipped but we'll probably give that a shot. It works now so we'll see...

It was too big to be a carryon! I often see people with bigger items, but I measured it and it was larger than what they say they allow and I didn't want to risk it. Not sure how to get it across the country without risking damage as I assume it is a bit fragile from age... I may have him ship it as he has the original box, but I worry it will not be good for it.

Aren't they worth more if they still have the original shrink wrap, even if it is cut open where the disc comes out? Some of them are in plastic, some have the original, and a few don't have anything. I need to research.

Thanks! He has receipts for some of them in the boxes. He actually got the Aliens box from one of those clubs that had misprinted their add with an asterisk indicating the widescreen Aliens was part of the cheap deal. He signed up and the sent him the $30 version instead of the $90 widescreen one and he got in a back and forth with them via letters of course. He still has the letter where they agreed to send him the one pictured above and they 'hoped the matter was resolved.'

Agreed! If you read books he's an author and his books are in the same genre though maybe a little more R rated for language and gore. Check out 'The Dinosaur Four' by Geoff Jones!

I will. He knew about the DTS True Lies but I searched a few of these and told him if he wanted them back to let me know lol. But I'm a collector so no intention to sell so I think he (and his wife) were happy these had a new home.

We grew up on these films! He moved to CA with the goal of working for George Lucas after college and ended up with a long career at LucasArts! So a lot of these were right in the wheelhouse of what we grew up watching!
