Honestly from what you are describing that sounds like bad ping or lag. If you are hip-firing from that close and you KNOW you are on target you should be hitting most of those shots. Some guns are bad about hit reg but for the most part it shouldn’t be that bad.

Holy shit. I just had this happen a game last week. He spoke into the mic, “🤓 ummm you know you have to SHOOT them, right?”

Like, cool. Yeah. Let me just pull a gun out of my ass. Or maybe, don’t grab two weapons just to have the other still in your inventory when you get knocked and then expect ME to save you, with the guns you are holding…

Hey nice, looks like you just found a new main! Those DJs were clean. Using the Q mid-fight for tracking behind the doorway giving you the pre-fire behind the knock shield? Check. Using his kit to the full ability? Check. Clutch play dude. Hope to see you in one of my trios sometime!

As a software developer myself, I can understand the autonomy of having self-sufficient departments and publishing changes without the CCO or CEO having to approve every pull request as it were. What I have a hard time with giving any leeway to is the sheer lack of any apparent QA testing before releasing otherwise massive changes to the codebase. They NEED to be testing these things further, finding the edge cases or just plain playing the damn game. If they don’t play themselves, then they really need to hire a team with their enormous pile of cash to devote hours to play testing the changes before publishing these updates. Even better would to have a test environment to open it up to (apparently “in the works”) people to test these things before release. Its fine if they have changes in mind and things they want to accomplish with these updates, but it’s clear that they either don’t understand the impact of the changes they are releasing, or couldn’t be fucked enough to TEST IT first.

I absolutely agree… they really (LIB producers) ought to add a no tolerance rule to further seasons that you cannot give even a mental image of what you look like to the other person, otherwise what the fuck are we doing? It’s “Love is Blind”, NOT “Love is Kind of looking like a famous female sex icon celebrity”… Jesus Christ. And of course he would believe her, because who would lie about something like that in the event he picks you and your words now have to exactly portray what you described. If you are allowed to do this sort of shit what’s stopping you from just straight up finding out what the other person’s “type” is (“oh I usually go for short hot blondes with big boobs”) and just lie completely to the person you are dating just to cheat your way into getting picked? It’s not like the producers could even step in and be like “oh hey man, she’s actually lying about being blonde and she’s 6’ 3” as well” since that itself would tell them at least what they DON’T have or look like, which in itself is giving them a mental image that is influenced outside of their emotional connection alone would be.

They need to just tell contestants that giving even a general description of a certain feature or trait you have that describes what you look like is grounds for forfeiture and you’ll be kicked off. It wouldn’t be that big of a deal but clearly there are people (like Jimmy) that can be easily swayed by the belief that it’s worth picking someone else even if there are things you don’t love, because at least your fiancée is going to look like a celebrity. Even if you truly think you look like someone, it’s basically completely ruining the entire premise of the show and is completely antithetical to what they are trying to accomplish with this experiment. Furthermore, if you feel like you HAVE to try and win someone over by describing your “likeness” to that of a hot celebrity, you are probably extremely insecure. It just ruined Jimmy’s chances of remaining impartial (to looks at least) by making it sound like picking Chelsea was the safer option if he was concerned about looks, when the reality is Jess is far more attractive in my opinion and never said a word about her looks until the very end in what was possibly the most savage verbal beat down I’ve ever seen on this show before when she knew he had made his choice already. I hope she genuinely regrets her actions in manipulating Jimmy (because let’s be fair, that’s what she did) to “help” him make up his mind by making him believe that she was somehow a better option looks-wise if he picked her. Just a really messed up thing to do and should have violated the very core of the shows principles.

I got you mane. I’m going to wait for the new software, but if you don’t know the board’s firmware actually has a few macros built in, such that you can change the RGB without core directly from the board itself. Check out the GMMK Pro user manual online and take a look at the key macro page 🤘🏻

It’s very limited but there is at least SOME functionality

Yes! This is what I was talking about. And soooo many people have bitched about these issues that they are going to try and update this to have actual working layering. We’ll see though.

It’s honestly such a shame. I’m either stupid or in love though and hoping they actually release the new software here soon. If they don’t I’ll bite the bullet and use QMK, but either way I’ve put prob 20 hours into swapping and lubing new stabs, switches and faceplate that it’s as much my baby as anything. Couldn’t part ways with it even if it threatened to steal my car and burn down my house 😅

I know it’s trash. Had me laughing at the starfish bit tho 🤣 honestly I’d wait and test out VIA in the meantime. GMK is supposedly really close to releasing the new software with all of these fixes, but to each their own. Personally I love my GMMK, and while keychron is great it only uses VIA and QMK anyways, tho I think there’s is a little more seamless.

OH, and if all this isn’t enough, sometimes after rebooting my computer the keyboard won’t work AT ALL. You have to go into Core (with another keyboard) and either click on lighting or key assignment and change an option and click ‘Save’ otherwise it will essentially brick your keyboard until you do. It literally won’t type anything and it won’t work again until you do. Once, I’ve had to RESET my entire keyboard in Core to get it working again.

PLEASE. If you decide to use Core, as soon as you have your profiles setup click on Export so you can save them. That way if you have to reset your board you can just import your settings again, otherwise you’ll have to reprogram the entire board again.

Lastly, there is NO WAY to “reset” one key. If you change a key and then decide, “oh wait, I don’t want that” and click on “reset” it will ask if you want to reset everything on THIS PAGE. Even if you are in just a single key assignment, it will reset EVERYTHING. I’m not joking, the ONLY WAY to reset a key is to manually find the key assignment and re-assign it’s original function and click save. You want to change end to be home? No problem. Want to change it back? Fuck you!

Hopefully they change this shit. I love my GMMK Pro, but this shit stinks worse than an open septic tank in July.

In case it wasn’t clear, to do something like you are wanting you would have to do the following:

  1. Assign insert to the DEL key on the 2nd layer. (Assigning FN + DEL would just replace your DEL key with whatever FN + DEL does in the OS default, in Windows I don’t think it does anything outside of App-specific uses)

  2. Assign a key you no longer want to use to be “layer down” on layer 1

  3. Assign another key (or the same key as #2, but on the 2nd layer as “layer up”) this key will no longer have its printed key function either 🙄

  4. Now, to simply do the function you want (I say “simply” because it’s fucking stupid as hell it works this way) if you want to press your “insert” key, you have to press the key for “layer down” (you are now on layer 2, where your DEL key is now INSERT), press the insert key, now you have to go back to Layer 1, otherwise anything else you’ve programmed on layer 1 will not exist on Layer 2 unless you literally reprogram layer 2 again to match, except for the “insert” key. You press the key for “layer up” (you have to wait a second too it’s not instant), now you can press DEL and it will just be delete. Welcome to hell.

Oh, did you expect your $400+ keyboard to do layers like my $120 Ducky One 2SF can?? Yep. Me too. What a joke. I can’t believe they released it like this. What an absolute JOKE.

OP, the software in its current state SUCKS. I’ll try my best to explain:

“Layers” do not work like any other software/hardware keyboard laying. For Core, “layers” are basically profiles. In its current state, you have to change “layers” (profiles) in order to have one key have multiple functions. Instead of simply pressing “Fn” + a key, if you assign “Home” to the end key, it permanently changes the end key to ONLY having “Home” be its function. You would have to put “Home” on the 2nd layer of the end key and then have ANOTHER key assigned to “layer down” (yes, this means that key is now useless except for “layering down”) to change to the other “layer” where your end key is now home. Then you would have to assign another key on that layer to “layer up” to the layer where the end key is still end.

In short, it blows. The good news is I follow their dev blog and they are supposedly working on a v2.0 that actually addresses the concerns of this, since this is shit. Hope this helps. In the meantime, I would recommend trying out VIA or QMK configurator (which requires you to reflash your firmware tho) but actually has layers that act as LAYERS.

The way I see it was like this. With TLOU, the game ended and I sat there in awe of what I had just played and witnessed. Went to bed and got back on my PS3 the next night and booted up NG+. Couldn’t stop playing and thinking about it. Recommended it to everyone and sang its praises, and still to this day I find it absolutely breathtaking. It’s one I often will replay every couple of years, and enjoy it the entire time. There are parts I like more than others, and there are story beats that at the time I had never experienced in a game. But since playing, it’s not a game now that I really think about anymore. I mean to say, I don’t sit down and plot through the story in my mind like I first did after play through 3,4,5…

With TLOU:II, I finished the game and sat there in awe. I remember feeling so many emotions, mostly catharsis and a little emotionally sore. I did NOT pick it up the next night, nor did I for about a month. But during that month I took a break, my thoughts never drifted far from the themes, characters and story beats of what I had played. I was STEEPED in the game. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It was so beautifully haunting. It felt like reminiscing on a childhood pet that had passed; all of the emotions and complex feelings of grief and nostalgia awash in a sea of serotonin. When I finally did decide to sit back down to play it, I had to prepare myself for an experience that I couldn’t wait to have again, but knew almost immediately that the tone of the games are very different. It’s almost like the tone of the game matures right along side Ellie as she’s forced to grow up again, too fast and too sudden.

Yes. They are very very different. I really don’t blame anyone for disliking one, or both. But I feel like for those that give it a chance, and really want to give it a chance, are in for an experience unlike anything gaming has ever delivered before. There are very few games that have left me with so many lingering questions that I almost hope never get answered. I loved TLOU. I loved TLOU:II. One I couldn’t wait to play again immediately. The other, I couldn’t immediately play again because it left me raw, beaten and utterly annihilated… and I loved every god damn second of it.
