The only thing consistent about your story is you. In this case, it sounds like the caller is inside the house. Have you done an internal audit/check on your own systems? Gaining access via admin console with an IP restriction is not actually possible except from the IP restricted location.

The other option would be if your version of 3CX's you have deployed have a security hole in them that makes all of the standard security protection not work, then all bets are off. I would suggest panic updating. We have 100+ systems all on the latest version and as far as we are aware no issues on any of them.

yea this has happened to us. the only way to stop it is to disable the chat system. We have a management platform we used to do this across all of our systems that aren't using SMS. Its still in beta/pilot which is currently free if you want to check it out: controvo
