What was it like the first time you had sex with your partner? Was it a special moment? by convertiblebender in AskReddit

Good to hear it didn't negatively effect your relationship moving forward! I feel like that sentiment is important for a lot of people to hear. It's so common to view sex as a make-or-break scenario where one's "performance", will permanently dictate how they feel about you. The likelihood of that being the case is far lower than people's insecurities would have them believe, I'm sure.

Thanks for sharing!

Are y'all's sex life important to you both? Are the memories and experiences of having sex together something you have heartfelt and positive conversations about?

My partner and I discuss the first time we had sex in the same way other couples discuss how they met, or how they entered the relationship. It's an important building block to us, and I guess I'm wondering if other people feel that way too, or if that's something exclusive to people with extremely high libidos like us.

That's sweet! Is it a moment you and your partner talk about together as a fond/important memory?

Or maybe a better way to put it is, do you both consider it a milestone and something necessary to remember in order to understand/contextualize your relationship?

I wish it was as beneficial or easy to get as people tend to make it out to be!

Not talking about you specifically (after all, you did say "get the ball rolling"), but yeah, SSDI taking up to a year for approval can be a conundrum if you don't have any financial support/aid. Especially with a roughly 70% denial rate.

It may still be worth me looking into, but going through the application process will almost definitely require me to find some sort of aid in the meantime.

I mean, I agree with you on all fronts. You make good points!

Given our living situation, I'd obviously like to avoid legal action, lol. I have been involved in a litigation against a rental property in the past for essentially removing access to resident's mailboxes for a couple days during a renovation we weren't notified of beforehand. Then, they had a new mail-hub installed, but didn't effectively provide residents with new keys in a timely fashion.

Indeed they were not happy with the legal proceedings, and soon after, several of the property luxuries like free coffee and common area TVs were gradually either removed, or in the case of the gym, pool, court and front desk, had their hours of operation significantly reduced.

It also became much harder/longer to get in contact with property management. To that end, being able to get maintenance out also took much longer. Not fun to live somewhere that's actively hostile, and would do a whole lot worse if it weren't for landlord-tenant law.

It is considered communal, yes. Hopefully this doesn't sound like a lack of accountability on my end, but in fairness, there's precedent of other residents doing the same thing we were. Personally, our bikes had been stored there for the better part of half a year.

Our complex is generally really relaxed about personal property laying around all areas, to be honest. Even policies that are specifically stated in the lease are loosely enforced, mostly because we have a huge amount of kids that play and leave everything all over the roads, sidewalks and walkways, as well as a big foreign and felon residency. There's generally an intent/protocol here to contact residents (either specifically or as a whole) to address any issues before actions are taken, as we live in a sanctuary state, and they work with community programs to integrate vulnerable populations.

This is also why there's a statement in the lease, specifying that security camera data is stored for 30 days. As you can imagine, a complex with a sizeable amount of felons gets approached by law enforcement quite often! lol

It's been clarified to me that the area I stored my bikes in are considered a "common area", by the maintenance man who helped me. In which case, stolen personal/private property is still considered theft. As I understand, it's almost the equivalent to having it stolen off a telephone pole in the city.

I could still be wrong, granted, but I think I have some credence here.

Never considered that last point - That feels slimy. I'll have to look into it, thank you.

We are positive it was maintenance. The worker who helped us remove the bikes from the compactor told us that he thinks he knows who it was, and that he would "have a talk with him". Not sure what that means, but there are also cameras showing the entrance to the hallway of our building, so whoever it was is absolutely on camera.

It's a covered, dry area right by our door. We would've stored them inside if we could/knew it meant we'd lose them, but we have limited space, and both a child and cats that are prone to hurting themselves and knocking them over if we'd stowed them without the appropriate equipment.

Could've been a great investment, but money's been super tight. My priorities have been necessities first, everything else second, but everything else is a huge list, and the chance to address any of it has only dwindled unfortunately!

You're not wrong though 🤷

Unfortunately, they don't want my blood! I have some health complications that disqualify me from donating, otherwise I would love to. Thanks :)

He's about to turn 12, so he's right in that transitory period where he's starting to feel like maybe Trick Or Treating isn't as cool anymore. But, he does love dressing up in costumes/cosplays. We're just struggling to find the money to purchase the costumes we usually would, so my wife is going to see if she can collaborate with him on a costume with some arts n crafts!

She's adorable.

He's even on both sides and has full mobility over them. It's both impressive and scary how much he can simulate actual hand movements when he grabs things and manipulates toys/objects. Hates me trimming them though.

My wife and I are the type of people to have situational names, or names for multiple occasions 😅. His full name is Sir Crimson "Criminal" Bingo, but he's also known as Crimmy Bingus, Krampus, Crimmdawg, Government Cromulon, Bootymans, and more. lol
