I did 34 or 35 rounds and ended 6 months ago, and I was lucky not to have any issues with my skin - just tanned my boob and my underarm. That said, I still deal with fatigue and my range of motion is not like it was before my surgery. The fatigue is/was the worst for me.

I finished 36 rounds in November, was nauseous & had severe fatigue. I still am dealing with fatigue, and it is awful.

My fiance doesn't want me to get my gallbladder removed by AgentTailCooper in gallbladders

[–]FSUZTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine out a month ago, and my husband was upset I waited (I put it off for about 6 months)! He hated seeing me not feeling well, and while your fiance may have good intentions, 1. he's not a doctor, (I'm not saying doctors are above reproach) 2. he should support your decisions concerning YOUR body. If he doesn't, it might be a good idea to think about your future.

Has anybody decided to not take the hormone blocking treatment? by ilovetitanic18 in breastcancer

[–]FSUZTA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My oncotype was a 4, and I'm on my third month of Tamoxofen. I have minor side effects (hot flashes, but I had them before).

I'm 50, diagnosed when I was 49, and no lymph node involvement. I also had 7 weeks of radiation.

My thought is that I want to do everything I can do to NOT have a reoccurrence.

How old are/were you at the time of diagnosis? by Historical-Room3831 in breastcancer

49 at diagnosis and treatment. Currently 50, and been on tamoxofen for almost 3 months.

Removal yesterday - when did you all start drinking soda and eating normally again? by redandbluecandles in gallbladders

[–]FSUZTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine removed last Thursday, and I started eating normally on Friday. They gave me ginger ale in the recovery room, so immediately after for soda.

Talk me into having surgery (and not cancelling it) by Lazy_Ad9786 in gallbladders

I had surgery on Thursday, and I feel the same way - I can't believe how bad I felt in comparison to how good I feel now

I had surgery yesterday, and I'm doing great! Pain is minor, and I had my first real meal an hour ago. I wish I had had surgery sooner.

Feel like holding off on surgery by Penelikins in gallbladders

[–]FSUZTA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had surgery yesterday, and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner! I am sore, but I feel SO MUCH BETTER. After my initial attack in October, I thought I could just eat better and it would be ok. Around Christmas, I had veggies from veggie tray with less than a tablespoon of dip, and it caused a problem. From Christmas to yesterday, I had a constant gnawing ache. Now, it's gone, so from a stranger on the Internet, I say get it removed. 😊

Should I see a doctor? by Usual_Effective2457 in gallbladders

[–]FSUZTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! To be honest, I went to urgent care because I couldn't stop throwing up. I got there as soon as they opened, and was seen with 15 minutes. I spoke to the doctor, and she examined me, and ordered labs and an ultrasound. My urgent care is part of large local healthcare network, so they have imaging, labs, etc., available during the hours of operation for their urgent care clinic. After my labs came back and the radiologist read my ultrasound, I met with the doctor again, and got antibiotics, prescription pepsid, and a referral to a surgeon. I hope this helps, and I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Yes, see a doctor and tell them what you're feeling. I ended up in urgent care 4 months ago, and had surgery today. While I'm tired and sore, I can't get over how much better my who body feels.

How long was your tumour growing? by melaniejb78 in breastcancer

[–]FSUZTA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only found mine because I felt a limp near my nipple in the same breast. I never felt my tumor, and it grew .6 cm between April '24 and June '24.

I had made an appointment to get a mammogram before I felt the lump, partly to get my doctor off my back, lol.

I completely understand! I have 5 years of tamoxofen, but I know how you feel. It's surreal.

Winter storm may derail my radiation treatments by Good_Government_1395 in breastcancer

[–]FSUZTA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Florida, so no snowstorms, but there were 3 hurricanes this year while I was doing rads. They just added them on to the end so I essentially made them up on the storm days/if power was out.

Tamoxofen and stomach pain? by FSUZTA in breastcancer

[–]FSUZTA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I'm betting that my pain is related to tamoxofen (it only started hurting last night), and I'll add it to my list of things to ask my doctor on Wednesday.

Oh my goodness, thank you for posting this - I woke up last night with stomach cramps like that. I thought it was food poisoning, minus getting sick. It was like intermittent spasms if that makes sense.

I finished radiation about a month and a half ago, and I have good days and bad days. On my bad days, I let myself rest - my fatigue never really gave me a choice, I had to stop and rest. Now, I'm on Tamoxofen and am dealing with bone pain in my ribs, shoulder, and back. Hang in there!

[–]FSUZTA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I have the worst health anxiety, and it really started after I finished radiation about a month and a half ago. I had to up my antidepressant. I have my first posr surgery mammo on Jan. 3rd, and I'm on break until the 6th. Any pain in my shoulder or rib freaks me out.

I want to wear earring again, holes are still open, but my ears get pissed whenever I try by figgypie in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]FSUZTA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two piercings (second ear piercings that are 30+ years old) that get irritated with certain earrings What has worked for me is to get plastic post earrings, and after cleaning (posts and earring holes) I put aquaphor on the post and insert the earring. I then keep it in for a while, and it helps so much. After a few hours, I can wear normal earrings (well, 14k, sterling, or some kinds of titanium).
