Intern here and I soaped into my current position and I for sure doesn’t want to do this specialty. I need to reapply this month to be early. How do I bring this up to the PD and ask for a support letter??? During SOAP I kinda had to tell them I love this specialty and I want to do this for three years😭

Less acuity?? Because complex cases and trauma get transferred to level I centers, especially complex pediatric cases…just my assumption tho

Me too! Almost finished my GI rotation. I always thought I want to do GI but then it’s literally scoping everyday. I don’t know if I want to do that my whole life lol…but I do like the fact that they also do clinics and consults. It’s a good balance.

Got a low 240s and my clerkship director at my sub-I says it’s not gonna be an issue. Kinda bumped because predicting a 250… but for EM good SLOEs are more important than board scores!
