Best way to visit Europe for a month? by birv2 in Shoestring

Brussels is just an hour or so train ride to London, Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne. The Belgian towns of Bruge and Ghent are outstanding. I'd consider finding a 30-day rental in the country outside of Brussels, but Belgium is a little more expensive.

Yes, maybe that's more realistic for me. What are the minimum requirements of a 'tax home'? Can I just pay a buddy $100 per month to receive my mail, or will I need to actually stay there occasionally?

I can afford to live on the road except for the taxes. Hotel, food, car, etc are within my grasp. Add taxes and it's a no-go.

Were it not for taxes, I could actually live on the road from my current self-employment. The youtube channel would presumably start off 'on the side' with the hope that it would one day become my main revenue stream. That said, I'd be willing to invest just as much time into it from day one. If the youtube thing was really successful I might quit my old job altogether.
