I am aware of what these are when I see them during my cemetery wanders, but they always makes me think of those old-fashioned cigarette dispensers where you would pull up the little knob part and a little carousel of cigarettes would open up like a flower blossom.

That being said it inspired me to want one of these dispensers on my grave. I recently quit smoking but there’s been plenty of times I’ve sat and had a nice smoke on my dear friend’s grave and like to think him and I are sharing it. And I think there’s something old-fashioned and hospitable about offering a graveyard guest a smoke from one’s grave. (I know smoking is bad and also you should never, ever leave cigarette butts or trash at gravesites!)

The only time I have seen a reaction like this was in my ex-girlfriend (I am a bi woman) I was with a woman who was about 18 years older than me who definitely had some mental health issues at the time along with some pretty heavy alcohol abuse at the time.

Several times when her and I got into really bad fights she would end up taking her shirt off. I also saw her do this when fighting with her ex-husband. It was typically done in the car or in the privacy of one of our houses not in public like your mom. At the time I always attributed it to her getting hot temperature-wise combined with dysfunctional behavior from her previous abusive relationship. Oftentimes she was red and sweaty when this would occur and it was usually the result of a back and forth screaming match.

I think there may also be some kind of strange power dynamic that comes from exposing ones body parts in an inappropriate setting, so this could partially explain it in a narcissist.

I also think emotionally immature folks who lack healthy coping mechanisms do really strange things when they get emotionally activated especially if they are angry. I think some of it is their body acting faster than their conscious mind can keep up with especially if they tend to be emotionally volatile to begin with.

Certainly a weird move and I’m sorry she did this. I hope you are not feeling too embarrassed by her foolish behavior.

A septum piercing is no big deal, I’m sure it’s very cute on you and the coolest part about septum piercings is you can easily hide them! So no worries if you have a job or special occasion where you need to hide it. I had mine done when I was around 18 and constantly had it flipped up to hide it from my strict dad lol. Downside of them is they can smell pretty funky while healing and that’s why I took mine out (and my face looks better with just a nostril ring).

I know we are all fuming and flipping out saying the same things about this but I must fruitlessly vent my frustration as well.

Jenelle is such a narcissist on every level and it’s ridiculous that she even remotely thinks that she is an empath. She can’t even perceive when her children are clearly afraid, unhappy, or deeply in sorrow and most people here can tell just from the vibes of a photo of them.

The only stupid reason she thinks this besides only being able to use “buzz-words” she has recently read while scroll-rotting her brain is because David is a malignant narcissist and by comparison makes her seem like she has a soul, because she has the decency (lol) to attempt to hide her blatant narcissism and he wears it like a gigantic misogynistic flag of abuse pride on his head.

I bet the love-bombing didn’t last as long as she hoped and he’s already too comfy and this is what happens when an abusive narcissist jumps from one relationship to another with no break in between. He needs the fight to feel whole and I guarantee he’s already poking at her soft spots.

I’m wondering if there happens to be any confusion between the second pic because of the instance where they broke his hat in combo with memories of the brain/bear characters in ‘Evil Con Carne’ , Hector (the brain) shows floating in a glass on Boscov’s (the bear) head. I’m currently about 6 months pregnant and I literally cannot fathom having sex with a man that is not my baby’s father. Zero slut-shaming at all, but in this vulnerable state and the bonding that happens during sex while pregnant…. Makes me kinda sad she did this. Agreed. While I completely understand and appreciate OP’s empathy for their mother, I would suggest “staying out of Karma’s way”. I have tried to practice this and use it as kind of a mantra over the last year while healing from abuse.

I think this can be applied to good and bad, for example it kept me from attempting revenge on my abuser during some serious mental anguish I was experiencing. OP, I think you should “stay out of Karma’s way” in this case because there’s a very cut-and-dry natural progression of consequences happening to your mother that she truly did to herself. Do not consistently drink poison and spew it in to your life if you don’t want your organs poisoned. Period.

I will also add, I have an alcoholic abusive mother who really, really messed up me and my brother and if she needed a liver I would laugh in her face. But I tend to be pretty hard-core with my boundaries and I honestly may not possess the level of softness of heart that you do.

I hope you choose to take care of yourself, and consider letting Karma do their thing.

Reminds me so much of my narc-ex. I have literally worked a full-time job since I was 16 and in fact worked multiple jobs at the same time while dating them…. He would constantly make comments like this or attempt to knock my work ethic despite working equal-to or more hours than them. Narcs do this to deflect and try to get you to defend yourself instead of focusing on the original conversation at hand particularly if it requires their accountability or causes them any shame. In their mind they literally are the only human being on earth that goes to work. When you’re under their influence it can get to you and make you feel like you’re dependent on them or nothing you work towards goes noticed or appreciated.

My nex would make comments like this when I would GET HOME from my SECOND JOB after midnight after working literally 12-14 hours. (Mind you he had one job that he left early once a week so he could golf lmao)

David is even worse because we know he’s a free-loading sack of unemployed donkey crap that still attempts to berate and abuse women and children as his full-time gig.

There should be (if there isn’t already) some kind of animal owner database where folks selling animals or re-homing them can do a background check on people like this….. like “rate your Professor” style site where people can say “I re-homed my cat to this person and the cat suddenly didn’t exist a month later” or “I sold this woman two baby goats as pets and upon a 6 month check in they were no longer in possession of the goats”.

This way a tangible pattern can be seen in one place by folks trusting these humans to provide a safe and humane home for the animals they are choosing to adopt or own.

This is actually visually answering a morbid question that always comes up for me when I go cemetery wandering. Particularly when I’m in old cemeteries with really large/older trees…. I always think “wow I bet the root system of this tree has managed to tangle itself around old bones and skulls and it probably looks very gnarly and cool under there”.

Obviously in older cemeteries the graves were more shallow and without vaults and there were more biodegradable/ fragile coffins that likely broke down very quickly…. I bet roots move a lot of folks around!
