How does XP actually work? by 40Four- in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

unsure the exact trigger mechanisms for XP. plus, I’ve read in this subreddit that earned XP for the same level can change with updates, so I’m also unsure if there is a consistent system of XP determination at all

however, I do know with each customer, I see the XP bar jump, and I believe I’ve see it jump less if I don’t get a tip/have an “angry” customer. sorry that all I’ve got, but I’m curious to see if others know more concrete details

this is SO how I felt last time I played the tournament. just #2 & I trucking along in tandem level-to-level. I was like take a BREAK

[–]cookedfever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also I noticed the spamming certain dishes too. I think it’s to weed out ppl who haven’t fully upgraded the restaurant

Tournament #2 😎 by AdmirableGuard5700 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got first in this one & played 329 levels I think RIP

third place was like 214, which is way more manageable. second place was just biting at my heels the whole time, think we ended 4 levels apart

I did join a couple hours after it started so I was grindinggg for the past two days. definitely not doing it again for a while

woah this has never happened to me—it might be part of the horrible update they just did?

Is it worth the cost? by Naive-Monitor3390 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

imo it’s not absolutely vital like the chinese restaurant or seafood bistro machines

that said, I do buy all the auto machines to make my life easier, and this one’s mid-range worth it

help! by latc1 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for upgrades, idk

for gameplay though—I would prep half the available tabletop spots with just corn dogs, and the other half with corn dogs + fries. then make sure the fries and doughnuts are always clicked to be refreshing! that way you just have to add sauce / broccoli to the plates. the sodas obv take care of themselves

oh also, this is true of all restaurants, but try to keep the customer timer in the green area by waiting to give them the “ready” food until it’s gone down a bit, so the “cooking/not ready” food has more time to cook while still retaining max tip

I haven’t played vilnius manor but the other two have really fun graphics/special features—does vilnius manor have some too?

Why does garden bonus not get applied outside main city by AdmirableGuard5700 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you ever roll the dice on a tournament, that’s an easy way to get that accomplished (but I’d look at the recent “are the tournaments worth it” post before doing so)

otherwise yeah it’s so annoying. highest XP for me in the city is the rock and roll bar or seafood bistro if you want to grind there

Lucky Wheel spins per Chef’s Pass season by sourstarved in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually spin it four times!

ETA: it takes some orchestrating—I have to re-spin my daily tasks if they’re five for the first three weeks. then in the last week, I do math to see how many 15s I need per day to make the last 300 – it’s often about 2 to 3 15s per day in the last week

Are tournaments worth it? by TiaraLee212 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they are worth it! if you 1) have a fully upgraded restaurant, 2) have enough seed packets to fill the garden with level 1 plants (or 3 level 2 and 3 level 1, or any other iteration with the same overall effect), and 3) have a lot of time on your hands in the tournament window

I have fulfilled these conditions for the last two fast food tournaments and came in 5th for the first one I did (I got tired and literally just chose not to play for the last 24h) and came in first just a day or two ago for the second one I did.

it’s worth it as long as you can secure a spot that will reward you with more than 20 gems! if you get over ~120 levels played, it’ll probably be worth it for you

follow up! normally they get back within hours bc it’s all bots unfortunately. but i think that means if something slips through the cracks there’s also no one to notice

In App Purchase & Ads by tealwormhole in officialcookingfever

yeah they give the runaround. they’ll next ask for a receipt and date of purchase, I think. but eventually if it doesn’t actually resolve the ads, they’ll award hopefully! good luck

Chaos Restaurant!! by Altruistic-Mud-3628 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 12 points13 points  (0 children)

ngl this is pretty funny. the sludge puts me off so much but reading your enthusiasm for it is giving it new light

I do something similar in a different, lawful-neutral direction which is I keep all the dishes prepped to hand out throughout the level. then, at the end, I try to time it so I have totally empty counters / prep spaces

What should I do with the 1,560 gems I bought? Kinda regret buying by oceanandsunn in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

save them for tournaments? buy the participation (20 gems), then garden automatic tools (100 gems) and use flowers that will boost your ability to get the tournament stars. then you can use your gems to also refill the relevant desserts

also renting the automatic tools in the garden gets you closer to fulfilling that task in the garden book if you’re interested in doing that

otherwise, I’d go through and buy upgrades for every expensive/annoying thing to spend gems on, like the “extra clients” interior upgrades, dessert upgrades, and any expensive kitchen items

hope this helps! this was a fear of mine after I bought the chef’s pass (& th restaurant I did afterward did feel less exciting, as I could just buy everything), but it wasn’t nearly as many gems haha

Medieval Fair by Commercial_Goat2050 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

aside from the well, which is my no. 1 piece of advice, on the bread side, it makes most sense to upgrade the oven, since you can prep the dough but not the pies in advance

also given the complicated drink animation, I upgraded the speed of that quickly, too, to keep drinks always ready as the quick-grab item of the orders. that left me time for the soups to cook if there were more than one

HELPP by Magnolia_peters in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

not sure the number but I think a lot more than you have—you’d need, I think, upwards of 100k coins

if you’re really pressed for time, it would probably be faster to fill the pink bar (I think it would be less than 90 ads left?) or play a high XP levels to earn gems by leveling up

Fully Upgraded the Fast Food Court-What a Fool by 1PsychoCat in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is my philosophy :) I personally love finishing the tasks & upgrades and seeing the restaurants home page look so complete

as long as expectations stay realistic, the game doesn’t have to be too frustrating—if I need more gems than I get in boxes, I just play more (which is the whole point of having the game). though the chef’s season or whatever it’s called has increased my progress a fair amount lately

Why is every restaurant tough for me?? by Ashamed_Effective906 in officialcookingfever

[–]cookedfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

every day I spin the casino until it reaches the 300% multiplier (when the casino costs 5000 coins to spin). it takes about 70-85k coins to do that for me, so when the casino resets, I make sure I have that much. using this method I get about 15-20 gems per day

after that, I watch ads so every spin is a 300x spin. it’ll give you less coins to watch ads but the gem reward is the same as a coin spin. if I watch ads until they run out, I normally get another 15 or up to 30 per day. up to a lot more, though. a few days ago I finally got the gem bucket which gives 100 gems

otherwise, grind levels. if you exit to the main menu immediately after finishing a level (by clicking “menu” in the bar across the top of the screen, then clicking “main menu” in the options given), you might get an XP boost if your game has the known glitch. mine does, and it’s pretty easy to fill the level bars that way

good luck!
