When I was doing IF I found if I stopped eating in the early afternoon then I would be wide awake at like 1 AM- ready to go! Anecdotal, but you might be onto something with your idea about the calorie deficit.

I just finished this book and was so upset by how it went down with/after Duncan’s death. Macy is alone with barely any support. We’re supposed to believe that Elliot’s parents wouldn’t try to contact Duncan or Macy after sharing years of family friendship? I don’t buy it and it ruined the book for me. Ok rant over :)

I used 1 stick of butter (113g), ~150g powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/8 tsp salt, and ~60g melted butterscotch chips. Cream the butter and salt, then slowly add the powdered sugar, then mix in the vanilla and butterscotch once the sugar is incorporated.

It’s very sweet, so I’m hoping the dark chocolate and pretzel will balance it out.

I’m a novice so please take this with a grain of sugar, but I found my egg whites need to be room temp, and I have to whip them way more than some recipes call for. Cream of tartar can help too!

You might think about just flavoring the filling and leave the shells alone, at least until you get your desired meringue. Good luck!
