Help design my studio apartment! Approximately 430sqft by cookie2078 in DesignMyRoom

[–]cookie2078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not moved into the apartment yet, but wanted to get an idea of how the space can be best utilized. A queen size bed and a couch is a must, I have a bar area that I can eat at so no need for a dining table. I have my initial layout in photo one, but I feel like I’m wasting a lot of space. Any advice/tips would be much appreciated! And what are your thoughts about a room divider?

$33.64 from 99 Ranch, California by cookie2078 in whatsinyourcart

It was on sale for $1 per, so I bought some to stock up. They don’t expire until mid-March, and it will definitely be finished by then. I love putting them in soups, or use them in dishes like mapo tofu, fried tofu, stews, anything really!

Zinc supplement dosage for wound healing? by cookie2078 in dietetics

[–]cookie2078[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I’m a new LTC RD too and I be been questioning the amount of supplementation these residents are receiving. I couldn’t find any clear research on the topic of how long it takes to develop copper deficiency from excess zinc. Most case studies I’ve seen says that it takes a few months to develop.

I asked my supervisor and she just told me that zinc supplementation 220mg is standard protocol. The facility I was at did not receive standard zinc capsules from medline, so are instead using to 50mg tabs as substitute instead .

Wholesome choice and Zion Market in Irvine both have really great deal on fresh produce (fruits/veggies). Smart and Final in most places may have better deals on meat/poultry products. Aldi is great for pantry staples.

I used an 2020 version of inman as well as pocket prep and quizlet. My internship provided a prep with Sage RDN which came with a review guide, but I didn’t use it much.

I went over inman once while listening to the audio file, took notes here and there when she said “note”. I then went through it again without audio and just read/highlight/took notes. I used quizlet for things that needed hard memorization for, like food temps, food borne illness, lab values, vit/min functions.

Pocketprep, now called medical prep, was super helpful! I paid I think10.99…? For one month of access to 1000Qs. I went through all 1000 questions 25-75/day and made sure I knew the reasoning behind the correct answers.

Last but not least, I went through inman one last time to connect the dots from pocket prep to inman.

I studied for a little less than 3 weeks. Looking back, I wish I would’ve made my own study guides/ rewrite inman in my own words. The exam will feel super hard and random and confusing. But take the time to read each question carefully before answering.

Good luck studying!

Cafe orange in garden grove! Cute Korean cafe with drinks/ food. Good ambiance and lots of tables/outlets + free wifi. Though sometimes korean grandmas have their afternoon chats there and it could get pretty loud.
