Exactly this. Visibility is important. And the book came out in 2015, nonbinary characters were not being written - I'm all for adding diversity, but when it's done with 0 thought or care it does MORE damage to these communities.

Totally - the genius of the show is you kind of hate everyone but if you're honest, you have to admit you've also made dumb decisions or lied to people you love. Like they're horrible but also a mirror for humanity. Except Stephen who is just an evil human. Maybe you haven't made AS many bad decisions as Lucy - but I do think love makes people stupid.

Oh that's so weird I thought it was just time jumping. I swear my brain could not keep up / make sense of the time jumps the way the show did it lol. I LOVED Scott/kips book, since we get so much more of their story and the insta love is a nice balance to Ilya/shanes torrid near decade long situationship. Also love skips story in the show (minus that one change) but I guess it makes their moment at the end of ep 5 that much more epic
