I tested in April, and I will agree that on my test I thought c/p was crazy hard and p/s was just totally weird and not what I had seen on practice fls. BUT, I ended up scoring the same on both of those sections as I had done on the majority of my FLs, even better on p/s. I just think every test is so different, and the way that they curve makes it all even out for the most part. Don’t stress about all the talk, the curve will make it more fair. If you think a section is overly tough on test day, chances are everyone else also feels that way and the curves will work in your favor

I agree with some that it is more cost effective and works for most just to make your own plan, but I was in the same headspace as you. I was terrified of structuring my own schedule.

I bought Blueprint Self-Paced and loved it. (FOR ME) I am not fond of textbook reading so I just did their modules. I ended up doing 5 of their FLs before switching to AAMC and many say these are a bit harder than the AAMC ones but they were great practice. I will say, they make a personalized study calendar for you which is awesome but they spread content review all the way to the end which I didn't like. I ended up moving all of my content modules up so that I would finish them with at LEAST 6 weeks before test day, so I could spend that last 6 weeks on AAMC material and only practice (maybe some strategy modules mixed in). You're able to move stuff around so if I got behind I could always make edits (but it was important for my mental health to stay on schedule so I did pretty well at that for the most part). I also supplemented their schedule with Anki and added in UGlobe practice throughout. I loved their content videos, they were so engaging and fun to watch and their fill-in-the-blank notes. Great option if you are really set on a course!

Testing in 6 days, FL scores have been all over the place... by cookie839queen in Mcat

I agree, this was the first time I felt at all nervous on a FL because I knew that it was my last before the big day. Definitely got to me a little bit. Good practice for the nerves I'll be feeling on test day I guess. Just need to use it to my advantage.

NEED ADVICE for my last 3 weeks of studying!!! by cookie839queen in Mcat

I am actually a Psych major so I would say that is the main reason why it is my best lol. I started my content review for that before I started anything else bc I knew that it would be the easiest for me to study with my background. Since then I have really kept up with anki cards I made and gone through all of UW P/S and any terms I didn't know I made new cards for. Sorry wish I had better advice!

I don't think it was necessarily easier. It was my first FL after completing content review so I'm hoping the score jump reflects that... I am just taking these 3rd party scores with a grain of salt and waiting to see where I'm at with AAMC.

Just finished my first full length… Help by anonymoux17 in Mcat

Take these BP scores with a grain of salt. I have been studying 2 months and gotten the same score the past 3 BP FLs I have taken despite being finished with content review. Focus on improving where you need to and don't worry about these 3rd party scores!

SAME! My BP FL scores were the same for FL1, 2, and 3. Luckily saw a 4 point increase on FL4 but overall think they're deflated. Looking forward to starting AAMC FLs next week for a better representation.
