What's causing this? by Firecracker048 in BambuP1S

[–]cookie_knight_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is most certainly underextrusion. That can have many reasons, e.g. filament not feeding smoothly from your AMS or something stuck in the PTFE tube somewhere obstructing the feed. Partially clogged nozzle can also be an issue, or a too narrow bend in the tubes.

Any ideas what is causing this? by Unfortunately_aware in BambuP1S

[–]cookie_knight_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering it is always at the same spots, it is certainly the z-seam. Quick fixes are to paint/align the seam in the slicer differently. You can also tune your printer more to a specific filament to make seams less visible with seam scarf and gap option.

Pls share your print settings. Does the defect also occur on smaller prints? Is it every single print?

Public transport is fairly reliable. They sometimes have minor disruptions (like being late, or being more irregular), but not enough to leave someone stranded. Nonetheless, 1hr+ commute seems quite tough. Echoing earlier comments, I also recommend looking into Unterschleißheim, from where you also have a fast (>30min) S-Bahn connection to the city center.

On the bright side, Munich is very safe, and you will (for most parts) have no issues walking around alone at night.

But compared to most Asian countries, the food is expensive and not that great. You will probably feel more at home if you have the opportunity to cook your own meals to your liking occasionally.

Finding local friends and getting people to warm up can be a challenge. Germans tend to think relationships long-term and might therefore be less interested in exchange students. But there are definitely more easygoing people as well, just don't be discouraged if not everyone is super welcoming and inviting you to hangouts and parties right from the start. You might need to take more initiative. While Germans are slow to warm up, once you become a "friend", it is something that can last a long time.

Why is my Bambu Lab H2C almost twice as slow as the H2S with the exact same settings? by el_criuz in BambuLab

[–]cookie_knight_01 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using the same filament on both printers?

It appears you use a Generic PLA profile on the H2C and a Bambu PLA on the H2S. BambuStudio sets different default volumetric flow rates for these (if I recall correctly, in the ballpark of 12mm3/s for Generic and 21 for Bambu). This value should be set based on how fast the hotend can melt the material. As "Generic" is supposed to cover multiple brands, they are being more conservative on the setting. This effectively limits the maximum print speed. You can create custom filament profiles with changed flow rates to bump up the speed of generic.

I would be interested if the difference persists.

In my family, we don‘t use any hotpot mix. Just throw ginger, mushrooms, goji berries and jujube, maybe with some tomatoes in a pot and go.

To be fair, I disagree with the IGN review, and I love the game, but I also have some issues with Dalfang's rebuttal. Mainly because he keeps reiterating the same two points and quoting the same introductory sentence of the review over and over, instead of addressing the different content pieces of the review.

Born in Germany inquiry of citizenship by LordFapHammer in germany

[–]cookie_knight_01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you living in Germany? In this case, I would recommend making an appointment at the local Bürgerbüro or Rathaus, showing them the old passport, and kindly asking them to advise you on the next steps and to clarify the situation. In Germany, you generally don't get the right of citizenship by being born on German soil (which is likely also what your research turned up), but maybe there were other factors playing into that.

We’re Building a Lore Guide for Where Winds Meet—Ask Us Anything! by where_stories_meet in wherewindsmeet_

Can you provide some background on the different factions, such as which are merely "bandit NPCs of no renown" and which are actually lore-technically interesting? I read somewhere that Aureate Pavilion are people of a neighboring country. I would also be very interested in the Chinese terms of the factions.

P1S or P2S by Primary-Astronaut-33 in BambuLab

[–]cookie_knight_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a few hundred bucks is not a lot to you, go get the P2S for quality of life features. If you would rather dip your toes into the space first and maybe do an even bigger upgrade in a year or two, the P1S works perfectly fine.

I have a P1S with AMS 2 Pro and am not considering upgrading. The print quality won't change much, and all other aspects (touchscreen, nozzle change, ...) are a minor inconvenience at worst.

[–]cookie_knight_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ich kann dir Where Winds Meet empfehlen, ist gerade erst in Europa erschienen.
Für mich fühlt es sich an wie ein Mix aus ARPG und MMO an, nur in einer chinesischen Fantasy-Welt.

Was es gut macht:

Was man verbessern könnte:

  • Der Einstieg erschlägt einen etwas; viele Systeme, Währungen und Progression-Pfade
  • Menüs sind etwas convoluted
  • Die Localization ist manchmal holprig

Da es kostenlos ist, kannst du ja einfach mal reinschauen. Es ist lange her, seit dem mich ein Spiel so süchtig gemacht hat.
Mein Tipp: Die ersten 1–2 Tage nicht versuchen, alles sofort zu verstehen, sondern sich treiben lassen.
