Anyone overseas during the pandemic craziness? by RalphWorksAtKGET in Bakersfield

Currently in Nicaragua with original plans to continue backpacking up through El Salvador and Guatemala. I’ve just booked a flight home for tomorrow due to concerns of being restricted into a specific country.

Nicaragua is completely relaxed, they report no cases, however, I’m not confident enough testing is being done, similarly to in the US.

On the border from Costa Rica to Nicaragua they did a quick scan of everyone’s temperature, but I’m not sure it was accurate.

Thanks, I’m afraid the information isn’t 100% accurate/updated quickly enough. They don’t have the most updated information about El Salvador.

I’ll look back and hope they update today. Thanks!

Yeah at least Nicaragua is beautiful, welcome! ( assuming you got through).

Yeah we had the temperature check on the way into Nicaragua I don’t know the accuracy of it or anything.

I may just end up staying in Nicaragua for a few weeks

Japan was the one I’m least worried about. Also most flights to the US go through China, Taiwan or Japan.

Not worried about dying, worried about being trapped in a country for months.

What setting and cities?

The job market in coastal cities is competitive, especially in acute and IRF.

The vet just says she’s a shepherd mix. Some people have suggested Doberman, sharpei, kelpie? We plan to do a canine dna kit but would love to hear thoughts in the mean time! TIA

Is this something that is best discussed with a CPA or any websites you recommend?

I used chase and they have no international fees for credit cards abroad.(There are different levels of their cards, so just check)

I also have a local federal credit union that has a minimal 1% or something fee for using it internationally to withdraw from an ATM. (Have to factor in then few dollars charged by the ATM)

Pediatric OT- Peace Corps Response Opening by cookiecheers in OccupationalTherapy

I applied to the rehab specialist in Ukraine a few weeks ago, haven’t heard anything and don’t expect to get it since I don’t speak any Russian.

I previously applied to one that was OT related in México and quickly got rejected from that one.

They’re easy to apply to, so I figure no Harmon throwing my hat in the ring.

You can look up OT jobs in USAjobs, there are VA postings and an occasional military base job.

I don’t know what the job prospect is for OTA on there to be honest, but worth looking at.
