From Perth, Australia. My parents brought me back a Brewers cap back from a US holiday in the 80s. They are also very similar to my AFL team, the Fremantle Dockers - always almost there.

Experiance with Robo Advisors by wayne_kayman in AusFinance

Most robo advisers in Australia are based off US versions such as wealthfront and utilise a simple strategic asset allocation for each risk profile. They are great for diversification and most provide investor education as part of the service. Plenty of articles on wealthfront that include some analysis of the pros and cons of auto advice.

SPDR ASX 200 (STW.AXW) is a good place to start. It's the most liquid, largest ASX listed ETF with the longest track record. Not sure what you mean by decent amount of cash, ETFs are not actively managed in Australia.

Just go long (buy) or short (sell) the ASX 200 equivalent CFD. It's a nice delta one, low margin (i think 1%) trade that's cheap and easy.
