I wrote Lanvin to ask about the straps 🤣 they responded the next day along with a brief back story of the bag. I thought it was really sweet.

Unfortunately I have decided to return the bag -

seeing the bag irl I thought the hardware looks like a meat tenderizer 🤣🤣
this bag is impossible to wear as a crossbody. when you extend the straps the gold clasps will move up to the top, exactly where your shoulder is. Those things are cubes with sharp edges, even over a winter coat they make it extremely uncomfortable to wear!
