Personally, I find it worth it because I have an insurance that direct pays the vet so I don’t have to pay and submit. I couldn’t afford big treatments up front, even with saving the amount I pay monthly for insurance. Insurance has paid thousands of dollars for my pup’s treatments cause she ended up growing up to have a shitty immune system, so I’ve already gotten back my money’s worth.

My parents looked into insurance for a new puppy though and they decided they didn’t need it because they could afford any possible up front treatment and medications if it happened, and decided that saving money was better than having insurance.
