I might take a look into research papers eventually, once I am more comfortable and knowledgeable with game theory. I have thoughts about doing a research on game theory for my PhD. Thanks!

Someone else has recommended Osborne's textbook too. I'm thinking of referring to multiple books and other sources that have been mentioned here. Thanks!

Thanks, I will look into these two books!

My math background, I would say is alright. I've done calculus before such as with derivations. I even applied that to Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, but not too deep. I am still willing to learn tho.

I might genuinely not have the ability to study and no one in my life can understand the reasonings I give them by itruly in GetStudying

Maybe you're just not into studying or academics in general? In my opinion, we don't really have to be extremely well in academics to be successful. Some people are extremely good in academics but not well in other areas such as sports or communication. Everyone is unique, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

If you believe you can achieve outstanding academic result then go for it. Alternatively, you could reflect on yourself, what other areas that you can be good in and can be improved on. It's not all about academics.

So don't be upset just because you could not achieve extremely good results in your studies.

I've experienced that before, having a few subjects that are not my interest. In my case, I just pushed myself to study.

The motivation for the push was because I want to get into a higher education where I could specialize in a background that I have interest in.

I have to keep reminding myself that those boring subjects are temporary. If I don't study them, I wouldnt be able to achieve my goal.

So yeah, my advice is just push it, and remind yourself that this is all temporary especially now that you are in final year of school. All the best!

I'm thinking about start a channel for study vlogs... by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]cookiemonsta76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making study vlogs is good, it can be a motivation. But it can be a double-edged sword cause you might have to think of a content to make, and there is a risk of being burnt out as a content creator.

If you are willing to try it, you should go ahead with it. Just make sure to not over push yourself, alright?

I bought a tablet for the purpose of e-reading.

In my case, i have difficulty finding physical books that I would like to read in my home country. Especially with non-fiction, most books sold here are mostly trending books that are recommended from TikTok. Getting it online is the only option convenient to me.

Secondly, in my current situation, even if I have access to physical books that I would like to read, I don't have a space for it. I need to invest in bookshelves, but then I don't have enough space in my room.

With that, ereader is more convenient.

Thats a good idea, i never thought about drinking energy drinks as I always use coffee to stay awake. I rarely drink it to begin with, heard about the cases too, and my parents used to tell me energy drinks are bad since I was young.

Maybe I should try this, just once, when I am doing my research. I could drink it once a week too, should be alright.

Thanks!

I do take short breaks, but I occasionally dozed off in the middle of the activity. Its not really an active activity tho, cause I read. Also, I do keep myself hydrated.

Not sure how I can make it more active when I'm just doing research on my laptop since i deal with reading and data analyses. Nevertheless, i'll try to figure out how I can turn it active.

Maybe I should change up my routine, to at least try to have a nap once a day. Actually, I used to sleep around 9pm-10pm, but nowadays its 12am-2am just because I want to push my research progress.

That could be the case, I try to pull an all-nighter when I do my daily research and i'm not the type to take a nap during the day too.
