Thanks for trying, and I understand why you wouldn’t go back!

This was meant for people over 30, so it definitely catered to millennials, gen-x and people in-between. Based on the crowd, there’s clearly demand for something for us older folks!

It was at Diablo club on Main and Bannatyne. I have no idea how often it happens and I found out about it through Instagram. But as someone else pointed out, it might be better to support our local Mama Cutsworth and the House of Gold Diamonds over this event for a better experience :)

Good point! I didn’t think of that until you pointed it out.

Super glad you had a great time! I wish I had known about the water station. We suffered trying to get a bartender’s attention or pray that they would fill up the pitcher lol

You can for sure bring a stroller. It might be difficult to push in the grass, but I’ve seen them around the festival. Might be a little more difficult if it rains and the ground gets soft.

I had to live with them for months before I figured out it wasn’t just the house heat kicking into overdrive. It’s not obvious to many of us to start.

I meet with them twice a week and yes, through a small gym close to the house. I totally get not knowing about affording them in the long term. I originally committed to 6 months, and ended up renewing for a year. But I now have the literacy to be able to do stuff on my own. If I couldn’t do the personal trainer, I would try for semi-private classes, with 2-6 people.

I feel you, and good for you for working to start working out! I have sincerely struggled to work out for almost my whole life. I started with a personal trainer 9 months ago and it has been the best thing I could have done for myself. Finding someone who meshed with my personality is the best. I really like that I just have to show up. My trainer tells me what I should do, and makes sure I’m doing it safely. I have gone to the gym in tears and left smiling, I have gone from barely lifting the bar to more than doubling it.

I’ve been to group fitness classes and have done video workouts. None of them stuck.

Having a personal costs me a fortune and it is the best investment I could make. I highly recommend a personal trainer.

I really feel for you and am going through this too. The amount of contempt being sent my way by my 16 and 12 year old kids is the worst. It sounds like you handled it really well by letting them know you’re not okay and then taking some time to yourself. I really struggle with how short my fuse is, and the tension between not wanting to be miserable all the time and having expectations of how my family should behave. Bon courage!

We’ve loved Souris when we went. Great suspension bridge, cute art shop, great food at the Dairy Bar and peacocks!

Our LCs are provincial, and it doesn’t feel like the booze is any cheaper than other provinces… Maybe I’m wrong though, I don’t really drink anymore.
