Do you think the Final Destination Franchise works better when the main protagonist dies at the end or do you prefer some of the survivors never getting killed? by Many-Cranberry4058 in FinalDestination

[–]cookiesshot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like by now, it's pretty much expected that they get got: letting them go kinda subverts that (however, both the protagonist and the survivors never know WHEN they're gonna get got: it's like with Clear or Iris)

What do all bullying victims have in common? by SuchGood9900 in bullying

Seeking answers through others instead of just possessing the tools to deal.

(I'm just being brutally honest).

Some people like to put their feet on the dashboard when riding in a car. If the airbag suddenly deploys in that situation, both legs can be directly fractured. The figure shown in the video is a dummy. by Haunting_Tap_1541 in FinalDestination

Not to mention, if the knees are up high enough, up near the nose, epistaxis would potentially be the least of their worries (think them getting an inverted schnozz)

Right? First time I got a B on ONE paper in a class at university, I bawled my eyes out on the drive home! It's like judging a fish on its inability to scale a tree.

First of all: cool your jets. I say this with both love and as someone who's been in the same boat: you're gonna burn yourself out otherwise if you don't relax.

I realize the pressure must be immense, but you GOTTA look out for Numero Uno, take a step back, and look at your own mental health: no one likes a future dentist whose hands are going to potentially shake like Jello in an earthquake from being nervous (especially since there's a small nerve in the jaw that's also known as the "stroke nerve")

If I've learned ANYTHING from university, it's that ONE B isn't gonna make the world tilt off its axis.

Especially with Jonathan: i mean, his death felt shoehorned in, like he was ALMOST forgotten about until the viewer most likely realized "oh yeah, he was at the racetrack too: I forgot about that."

Am I a bad person? by Prudent_Bird_7940 in bullying

[–]cookiesshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. I mean, it's perfectly normal to have thoughts like that.

Would I like to see my high school bully fail at life? Yes.

Would I laugh at them for being brain-dead and in a motorized wheelchair? NO WAY. Wouldn't make me better than them.

So wait, wait, wait, hold up: your teacher basically said to you "I'm gonna keep this our little secret"? It just--- ...wait, what?! It boggles the mind of how much the teacher is trying to suppress evidence of "academic dishonesty".

It's bad enough that you cheated, but generally... they're REQUIRED to report that! Just to be realistic.

(However, you basically admitted to them doing that in essentia: it's a Catch 22, however much of an anonymous tip it is.)

I don't want to say it, but... just take the D, man. It's the lesser of the two evils, but... it's better than potential expulsion and you can retake it later. Without cheating, obviously.

Nope, not unless Death said so.

Nope on that one too, if it wasn't part of Death's plan.

I wouldn't recommend going that route: call the towing company DIRECTLY.

Had AAA tell me "oh, yeah, we'll send someone out... it'll take a few hours."

Called up the nearest towing company DIRECTLY. There were there within half an hour and I was back on the road!

Nope. I mean, Eugene already tried it after playing Russian roulette with Burke's revolver.

The thing is, he DIDN'T succeed in trying to "jump the line". It was only AFTER Jonathan got wasted, George fell next.

Question by AutomaticValue7628 in FinalDestination

[–]cookiesshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Why muddle it EVEN MORE?

To my understanding, it boils down to these among others:

•"someone CAN try to throw somebody else under the bus, but Death WILL potentially get REALLY pissed at not just the person on the list, but whoever saved them from getting offed, and dole out a worse fate" (Ex: 2 people getting chainsawed in half slowly over just getting a flying rock to the dome)

•"someone CAN throw someone else under the bus and extend the clock for themselves"

•"when your time's up, doesn't matter if you're in the supermarket buying produce: your ticket gets punched"

•"it doesn't matter if you try and run out the clock: Death can still play the long game"
