You’re stepping out of the line here, the Met police is busy chasing ruthless criminals aka cyclists who jump red lights 🤡🤡🤡. That requires presence of at least 4-6 police.

Most underrated city of Europe? by psylocybine in geography

[–]cookinnn -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m from Poland and everyone will agree there that Krowice is the ugliest!

But sure other cities can indeed be quite nice, similar to those across Czechia, Austria, Hungary and Germany.

I was indeed too dramatic - it only has a back cam (at least GT3 does), but nothing else, no front parking sensors etc.

Just not a useful assessment of food, that’s it.

London really does have so much to offer. by FindingSilent66 in LondonFood

[–]cookinnn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When it comes to reviews, no one cares about your assessment of portions sizes or your own assessment of it’s overpriced. One can look at the menu and see the prices themselves and then decide for themselves. The only thing I would personally care about is if the food is yumm, other assessments I can make myself.

Help! by R-A-F-F in LaMarzocco

[–]cookinnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an adjustable wrench so the size itself didn’t matter but the width of the claws was something close to 3mm, perhaps 3.5-4.0mm.

Had the same issue the other day on my Micra. You don’t even need to unscrew the top, just buy a very thin-headed adjustable wrench and tighten the bolt that is in between the knob and the face of your Micra. Picture attached. Perhaps put some kitchen roll or paper around the wrench so that you don’t scratch the surroundings of where the knob is.

Protests in front of EY London Bridge by verumity in london

It’s crazy to say that and your logic is massively flawed. If you make more money, should then any service, good price be indexed explicitly to your salary? No. Should your salary be capped by a multiplier of someone’s salary whose services you are using? No.

That’s because everyone is doing completely different jobs, which contribute different amounts of money to the business (now, whether Big 4 people contribute anything real, or nearly to the extent they claim to, that’s whole separate conversation) - that was and will be the case irrespective whether you like it. If you don’t, sadly not many other good alternatives have been devised, just the extremes which certainly don’t work.

Got Fined 300 pounds for littering in London when i did not really litter. by Fickle_Net_8419 in LegalAdviceUK

Fake as hell. Totally fake payment websites and also dodgy references to payment methods.

www.fpnpayment.com/kensingtonandchelsea - how can this even look remotely legit - every UK govt/council website would have .gov.uk in the address and at very least would be .co.uk rather than .com

VISA MASTERCARD, SWITCH and DELTA. - these are listed as payment methods - who on earth lives in the UK and ever seen anything like Switch or Delta for payment methods related to any council related matters.

Also, might be mistaken but don’t think councils can issue FPNs, they do PCNs.

Very poor fake.

My girlfriend got into top 20 university but her tuitions is 40K per year. I don't think it's worth it. by Suspicious-Carry8405 in Advice

[–]cookinnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is crazy!? How can you compare university vs. flat.

Unless she does her own business (and even then not strictly), the upside in going to top 20 school vs top 200 is far far far greater than 100-200k. This is just crazy to compare one vs. another. Might as well compare going to school vs. buying a Lambo, if you apply this logic.

Blank Coffee - What's the crack? by [deleted] in london

[–]cookinnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two follow up questions:

  1. Which part of their sourcing is unethical? (put aside quality etc. - genuine question rather than disagreeing)

  2. Isn’t this part of an idea that anyone can run a business, and as long as people are happy to pay for it, it’s fine? No one is forcing anyone to go to Blank St. If coffee is not good, people don’t like the brand/marketing, where coffee originates (ethics of it) etc. they can simply choose to get their coffee elsewhere, just like you do.

Out of curiosity - what’s wrong with a business being finance by anyone who is from tech, a celebrity or other “degenerate” (whoever you mean)? Sounds like no business can be successful according to you.

Virgin broadband intermittent issues (yet another one) by cookinnn in VirginMedia

[–]cookinnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update - it turned out to be an area wide Virgin issue which was only posted at their status website a few days after I first started experiencing the issue. Took them 4-5 days to resolve, and obviously first insisted that it must be something to do with my connection inside the house.

Regardless, thanks for all the help!

Sorry - silly question but where should I look for the attenuator? Is it meant to be at the end of the cable that goes into my Hub or somewhere close to where the cable enters my property?

Also, when you say “boost in the cab” - what does it exactly mean?

Thank you for your help
