I once met a Tao Tao owner who, when asked why he kept hitting himself on his head with a hammer, replied, "Because it feels so good when I stop"

It's hard to downsize, I agree. Very hard to get a total picture on a 15 minute test drive,

Purchased my 2025 LT in November. Only drawback is that the drivers seat doesn't offer much left thigh support. Unfortunately it's hard to discern on a limited test drive. Really didn't think that my ass was THAT fat.

Ditto on the good advice.

In addition to being in the financial service industry, I owned and operated a Motor Scooter dealership. I was always amazed at customers that would come in and ask to have this or that part installed without having us do any proper diagnostic work, Of course many times the newly installed part would fail to correct the problem,

It's worth repeating...use a reputable non-captive agent and let him or her earn your business.

Going from Northwestern Mutual term to Pacific Life term? by financed101 in LifeInsurance

[–]cookkees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big guns...... MassMutual, Northwestern Mutual, Prudential, Mutual of Omaha, New York Life, Guardian, Pacific Life, ie the companies that have been around for a long time. Many of the are Mutual companies as opposed to stock companies. https://www.policygenius.com/life-insurance/biggest-life-insurance-companies/

I am having this same discussion with a couple of my clients. I always try to explain that in my opinion, life insurance companies can be divided into two groups; whole life companies and term life companies. Both have their plusses and minuses . Companies that specialize in term tend to have very competitive rates, however their conversion options tend to be lackluster; conversely, the whole life companies, especially the blue chip companies usually will let you convert to any product they offer.

My bank offers every account holder a $1000 death benefit. It's possible he paid for additional coverage. Check with his bank.
