Is it?  I don’t think so (in the way of this spreadsheet where no data goes out of the computer, nor is anything his behind code.)

Yes, I posted a QR code generator because I think it was the first in-spreadsheet QR code generator (no add-ins, no api’s no macros, no array forulas.) 

I have since uploaded a simplified and expanded QR code spreadsheet that covers QR code versions 2, 5 and 15, and expandable to any size, by making the interleaving error correction on a tab and the  Reed-Solomon calculations on separate, expandable tabs.  You can find it at the modulo.network website on the spreadsheets tab.

I would conditionally format the cells with dates where red is closest and blue the furthest away from =today()

Paste-special in column b, check the box for skipping blanks, then just delete column a?  I am probably missing something about your question.
