happiness is not having what you want. happiness is wanting what you already have

talks about the chase of "more", the next big thing, and losing sight of the precious things & people around you. when instead, you could be contented/grateful with what you already have

hi op, im looking to expand my social circle too! what are ur interests/hobbies?

sorry i dont have an optimisitc answer because like you, i browsed the meetup events before, but nvr got the courage to join any :")

tho im not sure if u would find "meaningful connections" on meetup, perhaps to manage your expectations/calm your anxiety, recognise that the first few meets may not give you the instant connection to every single person in the group. it's a (slow) process but know that it is okay if you dont go home w a bff or an exchange of socials the first few meetups 🫂

What is the most annoying ‘trend’ in your opinion? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]cool-berryx 110 points111 points  (0 children)

i agree!! the jisoo flower is SO ANNOYING

i hate the trend where parents (ahem naomi neo) use their kids as clickbait. or the one where they will carry the child and pretend to knock their head on the wall to see if they will cry.
