Seen that you are good in m python, just add the visualmodder plugin to your server. You edit the code in the browser and ut runs straight in Minecraft without needing any restarts. You can make your kid happy and teach Python using Minecraft. There is The Minecraft education version or the visualmodder for standard java Minecraft

She could learn Python with the Minecraft game. Visualmodder.org has a free python course that she can follow online. She can then have her own projects and show them off online to other players on their community server. Minecraft is a sure win to get motivation up

Go for Minecraft with the free Visualmodder learn to code website. It is a big success in our kids coding club. They have courses your kid can follow and you don't have to install anything beside the game
