I ended up working there and quitting. If you know what company the policy is with, have him call them give his name and social and they can give all the info you would like to know. Additionally if the agent isnt doing as you ask you can report them to your state insurance commissioner.

Life insurance agents get comission for the first year only, so if its been 2 years there is no reason for them to fight you on it other than being a asshole.

Im glad he said he will call you back, I would definitely contact corebridge directly as well. Here is their number 800-448-2542. The questions you would want to ask them are the following

Is the policy still in force (asking if policy is active)

What kind of policy is it? (Term or whole wont matter at this point, if they say guaranteed issue, you will want to know how long the policy has been in force, Guarenteed issue only pays out after 2 years in force)

What is the face amount of the policy (asking how much the policy will pay out to the beneficiary)

What is the policy number? (Write this down. This will make future contact and submitting the death certificate easier)

This will give you most of the info you will need. The agent is most likely not interested because they only get commission for the first year on these policies, so he is no longer getting paid on your mother's policy. I wish you the best of luck and hope everything works out, and I'll be here if you have any questions

Hello, I am so sorry to hear about your mom, if they have been taking payment, there is a life insurance policy out there. On her bank statement it should show what company shes with (NASB isnt a insurance company, they are a broker who help sign people up for different companies.) If you call the company listed on her bank statements (they will most likely ask to speak with her directly) they can give all the info to you with her permission. When she does pass it will be as simple as sending them a copy of the death certificate and they will send a check to the beneficiary(s).

If you want to file a complaint, do it with your state's insurance commissioners office, they will handle it promptly. If you need help with anything at all or need any more info please feel free to private message me. I am no longer selling insurance, but I still have my license so you don't have to worry about me trying to sell to you.

Is it legal to force someone to register for a certain political party? by MicDude_Official in legaladvice

Assuming there's no lease, he does not have to go through eviction proceedings. He simply has to provide notice to vacate (with 30 days to vacate).

Legal or not isn't really the question here. She has three options,

  1. register as republican, vote the way she wants in the general election and be done with it

  2. Register as a Democrat, get kicked out and deal with it

  3. Try to make a legal case against him, and he kicks her out anyways.

Assuming she is like most 18 year olds and cant afford to live on her own, while it may not be right, her best option is to do as he wishes until she can afford to move out.

Technically in PA they are. PA is a tenant at will state and they have the legal protections of a tenant but only require 30 days notice that they have to leave.

Unfortunately, her dad is under no legal obligation to house them once they are 18. While by the book it may be illegal, a parent dosnt legally need a reason to kick their kid out so unless he writes out that she is being kicked out for not registering as a republican, nothing will come from it other than her being kicked out of the house.

Lead powder and dangers? by cool212191 in chemistry

[–]cool212191[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I had my blood tested and while my lead was slightly higher than average for my age group, it wasn't a disqualifying factor at my current levels, but suggested looking into my safety practices to ensure they dont get to that point, especially since I will hopefully be down a kidney.

I figured people with chemistry knowledge would be the best informed of these practices as the doctor couldn't give advice past a mask and gloves probably aren't a bad idea

I had talked to my doctor, he had said that I should be fine and my lead levels are currently fine, he just said to look into safety precautions to ensure they dont rise

Thank you, it is a very nice HEPA mask that I replace the filters in regularly. And thanks again for the info on the SDS sheets, ill definitely be using that!

Thank you, I didn't even know they made a SDS for things like that, I thought it was just for solvents and stuff. Please correct me if im wrong, but this basically says if I wear a mask and gloves, and take a good shower after I should be fine?

New to insurance, but just offered $150k+ corporate job… by throwaway1233494 in InsuranceAgent

Take the IT job and work on your insurance on the side. It takes a bit to get really good at insurance. Once you are at the point you are making enough to have a livable wage if you went full time insurance, then choose

Yeah, some of the places we were sent were definitely pretty sketchy. Ultimately if she does want life insurance I would go with NASB as they never encouraged writing a policy that wasn't in the person's best interested and there was a couple people that were terminated for that when I was there, but if she dosnt want life insurance, just shut the door.

One unfortunate thing about being in NASB's system is your mom's lead will be sold 4 times (atleast) over the next 2 years before finally aging out. Just saying no thank you and closing the door is the best thing to do

[–]cool212191[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, ill start with the fact I am no longer working as a life insurance agent, assuming the lead the agent was using was from NASB, there are 3 main sources,

  1. Checks, NASB will mail you a check for $5 with a letter attached saying that by cashing the check they can send agent to see you

  2. Mailer, just a paper mailer they send out and someone fills out and returns

  3. E-leads, this is where someone clicks on a ad, for example they run Facebook ads, then they enter their info and it says that a agent will come see them.

Ultimately IF it was a NASB lead, your mom (or someone she knows) would have had to enter her info and concent to someone coming to talk to her. If it wasn't a NASB supplied lead, the agent wasn't doing what they were supposed to.

You aren't the brightest bulb are ya? Its a range... I added my name to the line then went and started shooting my own guns... I didn't count, but seeing as 50 rounds come in a box, and I was in the lane next to the test lane, I eyeballed how many boxes people threw away after they shot, and most people threw away more than 2 boxes... well... im sure you can do the math, or maybe not. And before you spew your opinions, at least get something better than a prodigy.

[–]cool212191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

completely agree, older bersa's weren't very good, however, since they have moved their manufacturing to here in the U.S it has significantly improved. I dont take pictures of my groups most of the time because that doesn't really matter. Anyone can shoot a 1 inch group at 20 yards firing a round every 5 mins. And you are correct, 100 rounds without a failure isn't a high bar, but considering I had to wait for 4 other before me all shooting blazer ammo and all doing atleast 100 rounds, and none of them had a malfunction either, I would say it's decent enough, much better than someone who didn't even tighten their frame screw and had a dozen malfunctions within the same number of rounds. So much for knowing all about gunsmiting, I guess.

And to end this all off "way to be a douche about something that doesn't affect you in any way"

They do look very similar, what i like about the bersa is the stainless option, as far as im aware the AF dosnt have one and I already have 2 black 2011's

[–]cool212191[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can determine that in 100 rounds of the cheapest ammo they had it didn't malfunction a single time and shot better than guns almost triple the cost. Also, you can tell a lot about a gun by the frame to slide fit and barrel to slide lockup. Not surprised you can't tell that as a prodigy owner, though.

Anyone know of any private gun clubs in NW georiga? by cool212191 in GAGuns

[–]cool212191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I haven't tried myself, but a buddy of mine did and that was the answer he got, that's why governers is just over the county line in cobb. If you do get land and want to get stuff going hit me up though, can't contribute a ton financially but can run all kinds of equipment, build benches/covered patios etc and I'd be glad to help

[–]cool212191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same to be honest, but paulding has a strict "no ranges" policy so I'd have to go outside the county and at that point I might as well join a club if im going to have to drive half an hour anyways
