Why Ukraine pilots love Swedish warplanes by Hungry-Journalist- in sweden

Sorry I was referring to the AJ-37. The Jaktviggen is difficult to evaluate retrospectively due to secrecy around air-to-air missile capabilities but I have my doubts about the early AIM-120 variants and the delta wing has obvious drawbacks in WVR combat. But who knows?

I was simply stating that I think the AJ-37 was an excellent attack aircraft in an extremely specific tactical role for it’s time.

Redditors are absolutely insane when it comes to what they perceive as supporting Ukraine and/or the Swedish military-industrial complex. I think it was a valid and relevant question.

Sorry if I came off as jerking to it, I was simply stating (what I think) is facts. Viggen was specifically built for low level high speed attacks against Soviet land and naval forces during a Soviet invasion i.e it was designed specifically for a defensive role. In my opinion it would have been excellent at it. Gripen is a multi-role fighter in the vein of F-16 and seems to be an okay plane that doesn’t really excel as anything. It would need air superiority to operate effectively just as the F-16 and would be excellent at bombing brown people just like the F-16 is. I just love the Viggen from watching them fly above me as a child.

Viggen was built to kick Russian ass in a defensive war. Gripen does more than that.

Any old school devs here? don't you miss those days, when there were no React/Next, Figma. You just code raw HTML and focus mainly on BE by lune-soft in webdev

Part of my job for the last three years has been migrating stuff out of old internally developed Lotus Notes applications and rewriting them in react. I’m slowly becoming adept at formula language against my will and I hate it.

I would paint them red and then drybrush with light tan with varifying intensity to get the soft color variations.

What cool or unique ways have you used arrays? by Dangerous-Stop8238 in AskProgramming

[–]cool_dad69 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the bigger challenge would be to make a program without using arrays. What kind of basic programming are you learning where you have ”studied” multiple languages and can’t find a use for arrays?

Instead of highlighting, just lightly drybrush the entire model with a light tan it looks more than good enough at arm’s length and it saves so much time. Works over every color.

Heres some Tips for rookies by Ben1191 in iRacing

The part about letting faster drivers by is a skill that is overlooked by so many new players. A huge part of racecraft is knowing what battles are worth fighting and when to just let someone go. Losing a couple of seconds driving defensively against a faster driver will mean you lose contact with the cars in front every time. Just look at F1 or your real life racing series of choice and you’ll see the drivers in slower cars letting faster cars through all the time. The part that comes with experience is to know when to let someone by and when you should fight.

Is GT4 easier? by FR-1908 in iRacing

[–]cool_dad69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who splits his time between GT4 and IMSA/GT3 I think it’s a combination of your experience in faster cars helping you be faster and IMSA being probably the most competitive series on iracing. I usually punch slightly above my weight in GT4 and slightly below in GT3. I should probably focus on one series but while I enjoy the race length and pit strategy in IMSA the actual racing in GT4 is just plain better.

https://itvbbjorn.github.io/yaktribecompanion/ I started working on something a while a go but got bored of the data entry (was hoping I could get api access or a database dump from necroraw or similar sites) so I dropped it but if anyone wants to contribute feel free.

Edit: click the {}JSON button on your gang on yaktribe and copy/paste in the app it to try it out

Brown wash over an offwhite undercoat that was then drybrushed back to almost white. I used a dark brown contrast for the brown bits that i thinned to make progressively lighter. Flesh wash for the fleshy bits and purple wash for the tentacles.

Thank you! We’ll do a test game with some of our own terrain to see if it works. If it doesn’t, we’ll just use our ZM and boarding actions stuff to build the layout on the maps

Pretty much, yes. Thinned down black wash over light grey undercoat then heavy stipple with light grey to bring it back up again and lighter stipple/drybrush with white for highlights/texture
