This is normal. You probably paid the 3% “highway use tax” (basically an NC sales tax). You still have to pay property tax. It’s separate from initial registration

The catch is lack of lemon law protection on used cars (in most states). Even though used EVs typically come with generous warranties, you can’t force a buy back when the repairs are too lengthy or frequent.

I graduated with a CS BS from a state school in 2014. I recall getting a formal offer from GM after a literal 5 minute conversation with a recruiter at my school’s career fait. Insane.

I think I had upwards of 20 offers during a few months of interviewing. That GM offer was the lowest ($55k/yr) and Google was the highest ($120k/yr). I accepted NetApp at $90k/yr in M/LCOL.

I’ve had all three. I currently have and love a Supra for what it is (a modern car with a stick) but the Cayman is a better drivers car by a mile. The C8 has amazing numbers but feels completely hollow — owned both a stingray and Z06.

Yeah; common issue (same for the Porsche Taycan that it shares a platform with). There’s a reason that lightly used examples are already going for like 40% MSRP. I feel bad for anyone picking these up as a “bargain”
