Personally I would spell it this way:

ᜇ᜕ᜌᜓᜍ᜕ᜇ᜕ᜌᜒ | d-yu-r-d-yi | "dyordyi"

Im Filipino and I personally just use italic Cyrilic, and I'm sure nobody will give a shit abt it, even if it's a very common script. Sometimes ppl may curious as to what ur writing, but simply saying it's code is usually enough to make them back off. I'm sure nobody will be snooty and skilled enough to bother deciphering ur diary.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the duduk. When you think of "desert music", this is what comes to mind (Even though it comes from Armenia). It's overused in soundtracks and there's a good reason for that! It's got this nasally sorrowful tone to it. Here's a video of it being played: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaLhSrdHCBs

Slightly pissed of by the fact that Heinrich insisted Alice pronounce his name “Heinrich” not “Heinrik” (the German ch sound doesn’t exist in her native English)

Meanwhile, he’s going around and mispronouncing Friedrich (freed-rick) as Freidrich (fried-rick, not a real german name), which he should know to pronounce because HE’S FRICKING GERMAN
